Why is everyone so pessimistic? (note: I missed the game last week but were we really that bad? port at home is a tough job and perhaps they are very good this year)
Becoming one of my favourite players! I know he's needed as a KPP but anyone else think he has the attributes to be that big bodied midfielder that we need? He's fast, strong, tenacious, and skilled, don't see why he couldn't do well in the middle after a few preseasons.
What's wrong with Hanley? doesn't seem to trust his body at the moment? He keeps running past the ball and can't stop his forward momentum at all, his agility is almost non existant.
Who would play on the half back line if you're dropping both Mayes and Harwood and not replacing them with any half backs? I don't think Harwood will get dropped, he'll be better next week with Merrett's more predictable spoils.
lol nice bluff by brissy pretending we rated him.
Aish is a plodder, too slow and short for the AFL, no ticker. Is he the first player to request a trade for fame related purposes? Craves the attention does little Aisho.:oops:
Top thread craffles, the NRL final was much better than the snoozefest West Coast put on for us on Saturday.
As someone who can appreciate all sports it's sad to see the closed minded fans in here who've been brain washed since birth to only get enjoyment from one sport.
Geelong can't complain about losing players if they're doing shit like this, this reeks of the bad culture that was at the MFC when we did the same thing to Jnr MacDonald
I wonder if there is any truth to the players disliking Selwood?
Are we really crying out for leaders? I think we're crying out for better players. Adcock's been playing all year, it's hard to quantify the effect his leadership has on the team, but we are essentailly last.
I think there are a few people overreacting to this news. Sad to see he won't be...
Brisbane would draft an academy player with that pick, so yes it would fix the problem. Doubt Brisbane would be asking for a priority pick if they hadn't changed the academy drafting rules this year, which happens to be the first year we have real talent in there.
Lions fans seem happy with Bundy + 5 + 25, not that it matters, we'll still get beams anyway.
There's been unprecedented nuclear melts on the collingwood forum ever since Beams announced he wanted out, it's been hilarious to read haha very entertaining. Looking forward to another weeks of melts!
Don't see how being consistent with your requirements means it's reasonable? Both parties making compromises sounds more reasonable
and I'm pretty sure pick 5 and greenwood is a 1st pick and a player, not accepting that seems pretty unreasonable
Not too worried if Aish leaves at the end of his contract (we'll see if he does), just more evidence towards keeping the current academy system, welcome Ben Keays and friends etc
