You're highlighting the issue of picking and choosing what is okay from your morals. We elect a government to put laws in place to protect the majority. Not for individuals to decide.
Work places have rules in place to protect the employees and the organisation. So if the GWS boys thought it...
Doesn't that come down to 'too soon'?
Common sense says the individual needs to choose their audience wisely, which by the sounds of it, they tried to do.
Hypothetically, I wonder how an 'evil woman' themed night would have been responded to. Would the GWS AFLW captain be upset if Coniglio...
Several topics I could expand on with your response but the main issue is the messaging of the leadership group and the AFC.
This weird 'prioritise others' sounds good in theory but if the decisions/standards of the group in charge are just being blindly followed, it can be dangerous. This club...
Why tell him not to taunt the crowd in the first place?
Were the Crows leaders scared it would make the crowd louder and pump up the Power players? Seems weak.

So if Houston concussed him, his arms would have flailed before he hit the ground? Interesting take.

The frustrating thing for me is the hit is taking the focus off the AFL believing that umpiring is at a suitable level.
It's disgusting that four umpires didn't see anything wrong with it yet the CEO keeps sweeping it under the rug.
Houston will get punished but the AFL will continue to pat...
I think for supporters, it's the constant carrying of too many players in the team that have limitations or are cooked.
When you see Murphy, McHenry, Keays, Smith etc in the team, it's fatiguing watching mistake after mistake.
Keays is the perfect player for the Crows to pick in the 22 as...
It does make me wonder if players have written in their contract that they have to play a certain number of AFL games a season if fit.
I'd suspect most people would see that having only one in the side would be most beneficial. Currently, Crouch looks like the better player so I'd keep him but...
I wish the club would communicate with the fans just a little bit with their intentions with him. We'd be able to read between the lines.

Am definitely curious as to why his confidence is down. Averaging 20 touches a game at SANFL before today.
Pretty good start I would have thought. Would have been interesting to see how he'd be right now if Nicks backed him.

Of course it was a bad handball, I was talking about confidence. He was trying to take the game on. It wasn't as bad a handball the other bloke made it look though.
What's out of form? Most of his other touches looked fine to me.
On motorola edge 30 pro using BigFooty.com mobile app
I'll put that down to an issue with development and not being able to identify the right position for a player.
SANFL should allow the players to play with some more freedom. Training will set them up for all the structures and what not they need for AFL game day.

Saw it different, he wanted a one two. It looks more frustration than confidence.
It seems more clear now that the Crows want him to develop his defensive skills. Pretty dull for a naturally attacking 19 year old.
I'm frustrated for him, I just want the ball in his hands as he is generally...
I think people are suggesting Nicks should be changing it up and not backing in most of the same guys.
The young guys will be hungry to prove they are worthy of selection and if they perform, the older guys will have to step up to keep or regain their spot.
I'd love to see the Crows win 10 of...
Taking whose spot? It's easy for Nicks to say that as no doubt, an injury/opportunity will arise.
I'm banking on it happening only when the Crows are no longer a mathematical chance to make finals.

Guess it was a good game for him, low bar though. Lacks polish.
His goal assists are a bit over rated. He should have kicked a goal but dished off an average handball to Fogarty and put him under the pump a bit. The other two were bombs to packs from memory.
His best assist was probably the...
Does anyone know if there are terms to players contracts? More specifically, if a player is fit, they are to play at least a certain number of AFL games a season.
I've wondered this over the past few years with team selection looking like one step forward then two steps back.

I tend to agree. I like the idea of it but when it is rarely officiated properly, it only builds frustration for players and spectators.
But, it's just yet another 'open to interpretation rule' that the AFL can't get enough of, so it ain't going anywhere.

Almost everyone knows he ran too far, but the issue is that gets called play on 9/10 times.
Then to pull it out near the end of the game when players have consistently run more than 15 metres without bouncing during the game is ridiculous.
This is why fans get cranky about the umpiring.

Yet unsurprising. I'm not totally against Hamill coming in, but it's more evidence of Nicks' coaching philosophy that will hurt the club.
Again, he is choosing experience, whilst Hamill hasn't played a rediculously high amount of games, he is still the most experienced out of the available...
Agree, I remember the three games Murphy played earlier in the year where he, and the Crows dominated!

Thanks for that. Will refer back to this comment as an excuse for when I inevitably get caught by my wife for searching this up for the 100th time.

Crows season is hanging on by a thread. I get how the club might think but winning three games from nine is a massive failure for a team that was genuinely thinking they were a strong chance for top 4.
If the club thinks the season is too early to write off, you'd think they'd change things up...
Scared of losing. I don't think I'll ever understand Nicks' coaching philosophy/methods.
He has had every opportunity to take risks whilst coaching due to how low the club had fallen. Almost every supporter understood it would take time.
Generally speaking, it's only when he has injuries that...
Perfect excuse to keep playing Curtin in AFL. Worrell is injured and Crows won't make finals. Great opportunity to give him some experience.
Speaking of experience, isn't this what Smith is in the team for, to help guide the younger defenders?

Nicks found a way to hide him. People aren't literally saying for him to play unaccountable footy on the wing for example, it's more to give him some freedom to play a bit more of his natural game which would give him confidence.
This confidence can also translate to his defensive game. Nicks...
Yet he had over 30 possessions to 3/4 time when his team was down by 28 points.
I'd prefer he be watched closely when in his forward half, not defensive. But out of curiosity, it would be interesting to see how it effects the Magpies game plan if there is a hard tag.
Sent from my CPH1903...
Agreed, 10 hit outs from his 21 ruck contests and 5 score involvements from 9 possessions.
Only 65% game time too.
