State of origin is dead, I fail to see the need for it in today's AFL.
BTW, are the rumours that Rex07 is actually Neil Craig's personal masseur correct?
Seeing that Rex07 knows that the Crows are getting players a few years down the track, I guess this is the team, he as a Crows staffer, and NC will collect and put on the field?
FB Graham Johncock, Ben Rutten, Brian Harris (WB)
HB Beau Waters (WC), Jared Rivers (M), Daniel Bell (M)
C Ryan...
Rex07 must be BigFooty's answer to Roger Corman
He makes new posts extremely quickly on leftover posts from other, better, posters.
(movie buffs will understand, lol)
A bit unfair in relation to his 2006 form
He did no preseason for 2006 as he did a patella tendon injury, that injury scared a few potential clubs, but Port took a chance on him, pity, I'd have preferred him still here to watch.
David Hille is a nice enough player, but by no means should he ever be classed as one of a club's elite players.
The fact that he is so classified by Essendon supporters is an indictment on the quality of their club, not a slur on Hille.
As proof, compare the best three players at each club...
Has the Crows missed their premiership chance?
Only way to tell is to forecast the ladder at the end of 2007's minor round, and believing that the premier has to come from the top four.
1/West Coast - They are still a class outfit, who wouldn't be with a midfield of Judd, Kerr, Cousins, Cox...
This is a succinct explanation of why Essendon is down among the dregs in the AFL, any club that has David Hille as one of its best players is surely short of talent.
Kinda off topic, but I wonder how many of these blokes, who undergo knee reco's or even worse injuries like Hentschell, will later in life be forced to have a knee replacement?
For example, does anyone here know if Barrie Robran needs one, or maybe Neale Daniher?
Plus how will guys like Rehn...
Despite any media spin from Crow officials, you always have to be fearful of career threatening problems when a lad has any sort of neck or spinal injury.
There have been several instances where a neck injury has happened to players, and despite early positive prognosis', said player has...
It's a scandal that the winners of the Magarey Medal in the years 1900 and 1904 are not known, and that the SANFL record those years as if no award was made.
It's a scandal what Dr Edelsten tried to do with the Swans.
It's a scandal that Christopher Skase had "some" involvment with the then...
Re: RIP George Doig - the Bradman of Aussie Rules Football.
RIP George Doig, a champion of the game.
Now to Ripper, may I suggest that you knew full well that this thread title would cause debate and angst, plus in knowing that, you still created the thread with the controversial title. Your...

Don't tell anyone, it's a secret, so I'll whisper it to just a few here that can read and comprehend English. I'm actually the Earth bound spirit of journalists past.
No, I didn't forget about Nathan Brown, but before including him in the Tigers best players, I'd prefer to see that he has overcome that terrible injury.
If he comes back as good as ever, sure, he's in the top 5

It's a great pity you blokes never saw Paul Bagshaw kick a footy, he was the proverbial "poetry in motion". Any distance up to about 50 to 55 meters he never missed with his stab passes, plus they were a thing of beauty to behold.
As for the best & most consistent long kicker I've seen would...
Dennis Sachse, brother of Neil and John
Huge, huge man mountain, played full forward for North Adelaide circa 60's/70's, kinda like Grenville Dietrich did later in the 1980's etc.
