Mega Thread VICBias - Genuine Discussion

Honestly you seem madder about this than supporters of clubs who are actually disadvantaged by it 😂

Mega Thread VICBias - Genuine Discussion

If they want to continue to go through the same old cycle of the AFL consistently making decisions that favour teams from one geographical location because of something that happened over 30 years ago, then sure.

Mega Thread VICBias - Genuine Discussion

This is true, but what’s done is done. Adelaide and Port Adelaide hating each other plays right into the hands of the AFL. We should be fierce rivals but not adversaries off field, the real enemy consistently acting against both our interests and minimises our chance as fans to see a flag is...

Which list would you want? Richmond, Carlton, Geelong

Geelong. On a downward trend, but they can just rustle up a few more hobby farms mysteriously going well below market rates to entice new talent outside the salary cap.

Mega Thread VICBias - Genuine Discussion

Makes sense for a competition that values equalisation. However the AFL only likes certain types of equalisation and what you’re proposing would adversely impact the biggest Victorian clubs. So it would never happen.

Mega Thread VICBias - Genuine Discussion

You realise it’s not State of Origin anymore, right? Is that the problem here? Do you barrack for all the Victorian teams or just for Collingwood? Seems like a lot of Victorians have trouble realising it’s now a national competition right, where all the clubs have access to the same talent pool...

Should have let it burn to the ground and started from a base of a national competition with just the big four Melbourne clubs plus Geelong.

Roast Corrupt AFL Looking To Change F/S Bidding Rules

They’ll just change the rules back when that comes up, like they always do to manufacture the outcome they’re seeking (or what the Vic based AFL media pressures them into doing).

Mega Thread VICBias - Genuine Discussion

Just re-read the original post. Got to be the most entitled set of dot points I’ve ever read. Actually made me laugh.

Mega Thread VICBias - Genuine Discussion

One example: A common thing I hear at the footy, and chatting with people who follow the footy closely, both Crows and Port fans is “If we make a Grand Final at some point, I hope it’s not against a Victorian team because we’ll get stitched up by the umpires”. Just because you can’t or don’t...

A lot of people do mate. This is a real thing, fair few are just completely fed up with the AFL.

Roast Corrupt AFL Looking To Change F/S Bidding Rules

My experience as a Crows fan is that every time I want to believe the AFL is a fair league, they roll out some new form of bull**** which disadvantages the club that I’m unfortunate enough to happen to barrack for. After a while it sinks in that the league takes us for granted and views us a...

    Opinion Non-Crows AFL 7

We’d have been pressured to delist him by now, and then the AFL would make a special ruling to get him onto Collingwood’s list as a fairytale.

Total stitch up, as per usual. I wonder if changing the Father/Son rules was part of the recommendations from the “not enough Vic premierships lately” AFL investigation.

    Cool now do Geelong.

Roast Corrupt AFL Looking To Change F/S Bidding Rules

Never has, never will. It’s by design. If we ever win another flag it will be one of the all time biggest middle fingers to AFL House.

Roast Corrupt AFL Looking To Change F/S Bidding Rules

Only difference is the league wanted to sanction us, but tried to get Essendon off by going up against the world anti doping authority!

Walker was available to anyone. We didn’t get any special treatment there.

If a kid from “interstate” doesn’t want to go to Victoria it’s draft tampering, but the other way is fine apparently.

Roast Corrupt AFL Looking To Change F/S Bidding Rules

Does any other league in the world tinker with the rules as much as the AFL does in order to get the outcomes they want?

Roast Corrupt AFL Looking To Change F/S Bidding Rules

Fine. Let’s back date it and put the Daicos brothers back into the draft. Why are the league suddenly looking to bring theses changes in now? Why not pre Darcy and Daicos? Why did the academy changes come through the year after JUH went to the Dogs? Heck of a lot of AFL rulings working out in...

Still waiting for the crows to come out on the good side of any AFL policy or ruling. It’s been 32 years now. How many father son selections have the Pies had in the last 20 odd years?

Rumour 2023 Rumours and Speculation (Rumours total 33!, 1 BIG FISH ALERT last October 4th) (7 confirmed! 11 Busted!)

That someone totally not affiliated with Geelong could sell him at a drastically reduced price outside the salary cap? If only.

Which club has the worst guernsey?

Port’s is pretty lame. Copied a rugby league jumper. Let them wear the bars instead.

Roast Corrupt AFL Looking To Change F/S Bidding Rules

It was always obvious that the AFL would change the Father/Son rules once non-Victorian sides started to get some benefits from it. Anyone who can’t see it coming hasn’t been paying attention to the actions of this biased and compromised organisation for the past 25 years. Only question is...
