Had noticed his good form in a couple of finals then looked up his season. Pretty solid through out.
Tips for the weekend?
I’m hoping Katandra, just so it’s a new winner.
I’ll back them in by 13 points.
Will be a tough ask & they’ll be hoping for the weather to be kind.
I agree, would be happy to see a Kats v Katty GF as the other twos side have had plenty of success in recent years.
If the conditions are sunny and no breeze Kats could exploit Tunga in leg speed. Ferg, Cheek & John’s are their main play makers, stop them and it will go along way to winning...
Was there today and the phone reception was a real isssue, due to the amount of people in one place. It’s usually not too bad at Picola.
Eftpos was down in a couple of spots also, so this indeed would have effected the ability to post score updates.
Even more so, some kids play in the 4ths & 3rds and can’t be split at different venues. Also clubs struggle to have trainers at one venue most weeks let alone two. Junior coaches also could be playing in senior grades, the list goes on….
The first year they did try to accomodate by putting the...
Hard to believe the season will draw to a close this weekend for those not in finals, it has certainly snuck up on me…
I can’t see the ladder changing to much from here unless Katunga can upset Strathy making them slip to second. Tunga & Picola game decides who goes to 6 but will see them...
Yes absolutely, both have surprised many with their perseverance and ability to hang on. My previous comment was very tongue in cheek and just going along the green day theme. Nothing sinister
A few clubs already signing ‘wake me up when September ends’ some have been a ‘basket case’ all season. As for the league… Don’t think they’ll be in the Basket case catergory but may be a case of ‘good riddance’?
While both Katy & Katandra have had impressive seasons, I would be surprised if those two teams will still be there in the last game of the year. Plenty of experience in Waaia and Strathy still and they know how to get the job done.
Tungamah were disappointing early but can still finish as...
Potentially, they play Waaia this week so I’ll reserve full judgment until then. Wins have come from lower sides of late but as the saying goes, you can only beat what’s in front of you.
Spoke to a player involved in the Waaia - Deni game, who said the umpires did it as a preventative measure and he didn’t think there were any reports just a couple of cards.
Agree, last thing we need is further strain or blame on the umpires, who are already short on numbers and have copped a fair bit of rubbish so far this season.
Yes I see have Mathoura have picked up a new full forward as a result.
I would have Kats slightly ahead of strathy just going on their wins.
Haven’t seen Kats up close to make a comparison.
I see Yarroweyah are having a meeting tomorrow night inviting along life members. Any idea on what it’s about? I thought they had already caught up about the potential split.
I think the AFL had a bit of say in the outcome of Wunghnu. That won’t be the case with Hoppers. The league have looked to support where possible and I would think the league will give them every opportunity to fight another day.
20+ seems to be a significantly large amount, hope there weren’t any ‘can’t be f****’ among them.
The hoppers have had a tough run for over 10 years with 2021 finish of 8th being their highest position.
I can’t comment on how the club is run, as I have no idea what’s going on inside the 4 walls...
If Hay came in, I could only really see them in a NSW comp. In saying that it’s still a 2.5 hr drive from Rennie to Hay, so I don’t think that would be well recieved.
If Murch, Tally, Shepp E, Dookie & Undera were to enter I would split as follows.
N.W - Mathoura, Deni, Blighty, Jerilderie...
