Breaking:
I have conformation of the Suns and Lions Academy Allies representation:
Bold = Bottom Ager
Lions:
Daniel Annable
Ryan Gilder
Ty Gallop
Billy Richardson
Fergus Mcfadyen
Suns:
Leonardo Lombard
Zai Milane
Kalani White
Zeke Uwland
Caleb Nancarrow
Really shocking omissions the main being...
Interesting from what i know Gillet is a certain for Allies. Him and Kalani play very different roles so not sure he would even be the one to take Gillet's spot.
In terms of the suns the other two would be Addinsall and Murrary and possibly Patterson.
Hey mate, with Harrison, i called him an elite talent who loves to dominate clubs, didn't say anything about how he turns into a different player. As you said the environment and the high standards catch people out, hence why we had boys drop out during preseason. Also it isn't out of the blue...
Both had really solid days.
Harrison Grills owned his wing dominating alongside Wyatt, a really productive day for the first gamer.
15disposals
8marks
2goals
And with Jordie Chambers he had a solid performance playing as a deeper back.
12disposals
10kicks
4marks
Both lads really impressed...
Sorry Ty Gallop should be in the Allies list, keep thinking the kid is 05. Freakish talent. Was elite today from memory 3.4 and clunked just about everything.
With that in mind. Draftable Talents for me go, Gillett, Gallop, Gilder, Greenaway. (GGGG).
With Harrison, an elite talent who loves to...
Daniel Annable prolific in the Lions first win of their CTL games this year vs Calder
26disposals
6tackles
5in50s
2goals
The bottom ager yet again tops the lions and game disposal count as he pushes his case to be one of the best 07s in the country.
Tom Gillett also solidifies himself as the...
Hey Malice,
For me Gessu his skill is second to none. Great small forward craft, great field kick as well as a pretty reliable set shot and tackle pressure, everything you want from a small fwd. With his aggression/hotheadness i think he is starting to utilize it in a positive way, from what...
The statistics are quite accurate, champion data do them. My point was more to the fact that Romelo was a half back so cant use the excuse of being out of position.
Yes him being listed at 183 is correct. Although he does have very long arms, so may look to the eye that he is taller than his 183cm stature.
(did you mean to laugh at my comment on underage allies) haha
Finally, i am opening to answering any questions on any of the individuals at either...
I can only go off what i hear. Being close to the Lions Academy gives me the opportunity to hear things about our boys not so much the other academies, although i do follow every CTL and Academy team very closely. In saying that i could make some calculated assumptions. Ill make a list based on...
Cheers mate.
From what i have heard about allies selection in regards to bottom: Annable and bridge are in, with Lillico being fringe.
For me Gilder will have to step up significantly he has been quite poor.
Richardson is such a utility that i think it gets abused. I agree a KPD would see...
Hey Thommo.
On my individual reviews i had 7 Sherwood players must of missed one when making the QAFL club list. I am new here but my understanding is you are pretty heavily involved in Sherwood. So congrats to you and your club for your heavy representation in all Brisbane Academy Programs...
Upon reflection i made a mistake on #40 Brad Mcdonald who was one of our better players today. Poor from me dont know what i was thinking. The key defender finished with 15 disposals 5 marks and 6 rebound 50's, in what ended up being a dominate display.
Brisbane Academy vs Eastern Rangers just finished up:
79-75 lions going down by 4 points in another agonizingly close game.
My thoughts on a every individual with rating:
# 2 Julian Cruice (Sherwood) 8/10
- Really liked his game today, playing mostly high half fwd showed his ability to...
Based on stats (which isn't always everything) Bridge and Annable best?
Lillico 10 touches and 0 marks on wing didn't scream impressive. Heard he had 5 touches through 3qtrs. Then had a go on the ball and had 5 touches in the 4th. Not sure if the wing experiment will continue for much longer...
Hey mate. Cheers for the reply.
Having also worked closely with the academy and also Morningside my opinion on Oscar Barry was on this years preseason. No doubt he had an unreal year last year, proving his ability to dominate men, albeit not QAFL. But with a interrupted preseason and a loss of...
For me, and i would say the academy would agree, the question is now heading towards more, Annabel or Lillico.
Gessu in squad despite lack of form.
My perspective on Barry is he has lost the ability to use his once dominate size to dominate around contest. He thrived on contested possessions...
Annabel & Bridge always in.
From what I've heard internally, Gessu is struggling for form so that will be interesting.
Other bottom agers who are in; B Lillico, F Callaway, I Waller, J Neil.
Sounds like only 8-10 bottom agers in.
Oscar Tanks is defiantly 2007, he will spend this year with...
There were no 2008 born boys in the squad to begin with. C Hodge, M Owen and a couple others filled number for match sim but that was it.
In terms of over agers there are a heap from what ive been told.
B Richardson
N Jensen
N Rosenbrock
T Meekin
R Bailey
T Gallop
B Mcdonald
Considering they...
A reliable source has told me that Lions u18 have finalized their squad for 2024.
2025 (2007 born) draft crop has had some surprising omissions. J Slater, J Harrison, O Barry, S Macinnis, O Tanks, T Griggs.
Among some of the best in last year's u16 carnival won't get a look at this year's u18...
Matthew Owen is seriously gifted first round potential if he progresses how the Academy would hope, very mature for his age. I disagree with Miller on Archie Watts wondering what you base this on, very classy left footer who showed elite level of football playing up at an u17 level from what...
