I view Oliver now as a player with a persistent injury.
He will no doubt play a number of games this season. However his injury will flare up at some point and he will be out while the injury is treated.
If he never plays again it will be be sad. But it is not the end of the world. We coped quite well without him for 8 games last year and will this year if that is what happens.
