It might be more common for players who originate from outside the league but it would be pretty rare (and somewhat audacious) to lure a player to a rival of their home club.
The only name that springs to mind when thinking of NCFL players going to rival clubs is Aaron Walklate playing for Boort

Yeah that is true, and to be fair he was in the middle of a couple of off years for Boort's juniors, I am sure there was a bit of pressure on him to be a successful player as well.
