Josh, have you thought that maybe if Bannam and O'Toole play up forward, which they probably would, they might actually takes goals off Carroll by providing other tall targets? Might mean the dogs don't have to rely on Carroll kicking 8+ goals every week. Also, I think he would kick more goals...
Will Fleming be a playing coach? He has struggled to come back after a bad run with injuries the last couple of years. Hope he does well though, is a genuinly good bloke.
Bowser its been a while, welcome back. The question is where will you be doing your pre season. Rumour has it you could be joining your big mate Cal at Swan Hill for 2007. GRFL attendace figures will surely decline with the loss of a true showman such as yourself.:D
Heard from a source closely involved with T/M that Lance Brown is very close to signing up with the saints. Would be a huge inclusion to their midfield alongside Ash Thompson and Ryan O'Sullivan for next year.
Seems to be a lot of talk about Moula at the moment in regards to recruits for next year. Have they actually signed anyone yet? Names like Bannam, Tierney, Peken and Spear Kelly keep bobbing up.
Perhaps its because Rik gets under the guard of opposition teams that he is able to kick so many goals. Teams usually double team Carroll and Arentz, or drop players in front of them, and they still kick bags of goals. Not sure that Rik recieves the same sort of attention from opposition...
You don't see Carroll on here because he can't work out how to turn on his new laptop yet, despite having it for over a month now. I'm not sure if he's all there.;)
Sorry there buddy, but i just can't hold in my excitment about the upcoming season I think we'll be a big show this year. If we can get big Lukey Bennet up and firing, nothing will stop us.
I have it on very good authority that 3 to 4 current Tyntynder senior footballers will be joining the ranks of RSL this coming season. A couple of these players were very handy junior cricketers, will be interesting to see how they go now.:thumbsu:
Is it true that Ultima hardman Justin Condely suffered a potentialy season ending injury on the dance floor of the young indulgance marquee on Sunday at the races? Apparently he took quite a nasty fall, maybe he should leave the boogying to the experts(Pat Mahon):D .
I think Dockers has my my measure, he can compare his tuck shop lady arms with Kates:D . Looking forward to a big day this Sunday, I will live up to my normal high fashion standards.:thumbsu:
Pretty sure he's talking about Nathan there Bowser, although Justin is a gun as you well know and would surely get a spot in any GRFL interleague side.:thumbsu:
Remind me Dockers, how did you and your side go against Murrabit on the weekend? Maybe you should wait until you beat a side before you bag them.:thumbsd:
Whats happened to Ultima utility Ben Mahon this year? He looked set to take the league by storm last year after his 7 goal haul against Murrabit, but hasn't fired a shot since (except in the showers afterwards). Is he a chance of a repeat performance against the blues this week? Is he lacking...
Not really Vincent, the doggies have promised me a contract with an unnamed AFL club for 2007 after I play this year out. So things are looking good.:thumbsu:
Monza, you appear to be a very funny man, however I hope you know what you are doing because the real Mons is a very powerful man, both on and off the football ground:mad:
Back to the footy boys. How do people think the mighty blues are travelling at present, are they favourites to make it back to back this year? They appear to have improved since getting rid of some of their 'dead wood' to the Central Murray the last year or so. What do you think Bowser, you seem...
Hey champ, wasn't too serious when writing my tips for this round (I bag my own team) just a tongue-in-cheek look at the round, apologies to anyone who took offence at it. As for Deli, just hanging a bit of crap on an old teamate, nothing malicious intended.:)
Why not just have the whole Tyntynder side represent CMFL gofootygo? As for Brenton Rowe, only one persons thinks he should play interleague, and thats Brenton Rowe. The top four players you mentioned should make it, don't know about the rest. Pretty sure Stifler will make himself unavailable...
Pod's Picks Round 3
Swan Hill to defeat Tyntynder. The recent sex scandal in the bulldogs backline, as revealed on here by Peter Duffen, will have an unsettling effect on the whole team.
Tooleybuc/Manang to defeat Cohuna. T/M will be hungrey for their first win of the year, Cohuna have two...
I've heard a few whispers that some of the guys that travelled from Melbourne last year are getting itchy feet again and are a good chance to play a few games during the year. :thumbsu:
The blueboys are going along nicely at the moment, coach Josh Bray has them very well drilled and they will be prominant come finals time once again. A couple of last years premiership players may also be returning mid year, strengthening their list further. Brad Wren is as slippery as ever...
Aren't you forgetting Black Rock superstar Brett Millar in that list? Kicked five from CHF on saturday, uses his ridulously large posterior to great effect. He is also very ugly.
