That’s exactly what happened . Interestingly we filmed them doing the same in front of their rooms when we played them. Also when our player was given a suspension they went to the ammos and demanded the suspension be doubled. Thus dobbers.
No one suggested GE are a powerhouse club. Not bad though with 4 senior teams (3 men and 1 womens) and 2 under 19s. Very well sponsored and supported. Great effort in C grade unlike the other side that came up from D1. Also the only team outside the 4 to beat a side in the 4 during the season...
Perhaps like the "retrograde" step that the super coach took to take the combine from D3 to the premier divisions. That's called a sense of achievement.
Jon has been GEs most successful coach but apart from that he has done so much more for GE than people realise. Thanks for bringing GE to the premier level.
Last Sunday 9.20am ladies D2 grand final at Elsternwick Park. No respect for women’s footy. It was a GF. Made it hard to get supporters to turn up at that time.
Season finished with 2 wins today for GE. My prediction was accurate finishing 6th with 8 wins . A great stepping stone for 2025. Think Hampton might take the flag.
Game 1 in C grade a 175pt flogging by Parkdale. Who would have thought we beat Parkdale by 7 plus goals in the return bout. Three quarter time huddle had over 70 supporters urging the Griffs on.
They should have used the ground of the team highest on the ladder as they did with d4 women's using Kew's ground. Instead each team has to travel over 20 k at the crack of dawn on a Sunday morning. No supporters will go at that time.
Perhaps lower division chubbies should make their Xavs games a forfeit in protest. Better than sending lambs to the inevitable slaughter. Can you imagine the squealing?
The Glen Eira / Old McKinnon Gryphons’s thoughts and prayers are with St. Kevin's Old Boys FC player Michael Pisker, his family, friends and the SKOB community. It’s is horrible to hear of such injuries occurring while playing the game we love and it’s important that we wrap our arms around the...
Top six look safe. Oakleigh back to D1 Marcellin and Monash to battle for D1 with Oakleigh. GE have done very well considering the numerous injuries. Time to warm some of the u19s to senior footy for the rest of the season.
Simple solution for Peninsula is to use Dallas Brooks park for both games. Inconvenience should be for them not the opposition who already have to travel far enough to get there Is there a canteen at both grounds? Can trainers leave earlier to strap the seniors? Been there many years ago and two...
Thirds GlenEira flogged by Old Mentonians. Former premier c grade side v a few boys wanting a kick. Where is this fair. Same with Xavier. GE were put up a division for who knows why to be flogged by Mentone that should at least be in d1 of the thirds.
