We say that every year but AFL level injuries always erode our playing depth at Sandy.
Sandy listed VFL players have been rubbish too over the last few years.
Collingwood for mine.
They may have bitten off more than they can chew going for mature age recruits again at the expense of youth.
Time will tell.
Carlton also with a high proportion of their elite talent now on the +27 side.
I would say Geelong too but they have been defying old age for a...
He did but not for full matches.
The week before he was doing the same thing when he came on late. Wasn't so much his touches but you could see him getting around the ball and looking very likely. Games after that he showed it again before kind of fading away.
Windy has a bit of burst and power about him and he's hard at it. Skills are solid but not amazing.
Been a bit inconsistent to date.
He's not Chris Judd though so he's going to be a slower burn than what some here typically expect from our young guys.
I think he plays in 2025 but he's not a Battle replacement.
He's more of a tall flanker and distributor and will probably play a Bonner type role despite his height.
There is a chance as he develops he could eventually hold down a key position
Yep agree on the hard hands thing.
He gets into great positions to intercept mark but either a) doesn't go for it because he knows he's likely to spill it or b) goes for it and spills it. Its why he often excels in the spoils stat because he is in good defensive / intercept positions.
Would be...
Yep agreed.
But I think we saw him improve significantly in this area towards the end of the year.
Not thinking it's going to be too big of an issue for him
Jesus ****ing Christ.
I expect the boot laying from Carlton and Essendon supporters but Hawks have surprised me.
We will be fine, the club is on the right track.
Hugo Garcia and Pou will surprise next year. Get on Garcia for the rising star.
We are not going to bottom out, might stay around the same ladder position but now with lots of young talent coming through. Last 3-4 drafts for us have been pretty good.
