who was that number 19 for avenal last week:eek:, he was a gun, great mark, silky kick, his player only kicked 1 goal all day, which in the backline isnt to shabby at all, can anyone tell me if he is from the GV? if not... why isnt he there now! a definate walk in to most GVFL thirds teams!:thumbsu:
Re: Offical 18's gvfl thread
Im not sure about Seymour being equal favourites they lose a lot of quality players, they keep three or four main players that i can think of...
Jason Cole(if he doesnt Make bushies or Seniors)
Jake Loraine(If he doesnt make Bushies or Seniors)
Adam Loraine...
Does anyone else no much about Adam Loraine, i only watched him when he played against Rushy, how does he go in the GV, as my last comment was based on what a few of the Seymour boys have told me.........
Avenal under 18s could have a handy recruit in Adam Loraine, played a major role in the under 18's GV flag for Seymour, he played 2 games for yea taking out best on in both games,(and got suspended in the second game), has hieght and a super accurate kick and is pretty tough around the ball...
Re: Offical 18's gvfl thread
Waddo at the time of posting had just got back from the 'snake-pit' after 38 hours of solid drinking!! He was not his usual self that night haha anyone who saw him will back me up 100%
Anyways our goal at the start of the year was to earn respect, that is what...
Re: Offical 18's gvfl thread
If we didnt want the ball, why did we win the game by 5 goals u idiot, you need to pull your head in mate, actually start watchin the footy!! and we musnt be goin to well if we beat the shepp bears today??
On a good note, the Seymour boyz fought hard all day...
Re: Offical 18's gvfl thread
My Tips for the round
Echuca Vs Mansfield-Echuca just too strong-10 goals
Eurora Vs Shepp Utd-united will run eurora off their legs-7goals
Benella Vs Rochester- Benella too strong at home5-goals
Kyabram Vs Moroopna- Match of the round will be a nail biter-less...
Re: Offical 18's gvfl thread
Saying that how do u think they will shape up against Seymour who are just about at full strength, and who only have two injuries
Rhys Macreadie - broken Wrist(6-8 weeks)
Marcus Ure - Stress Fractures in right foot(3-5 weeks)
It will end up being a nail biter i...
Re: Offical 18's gvfl thread
Seymour had an upset win against Kyabram, they ended up winnin by 4 or 5 goals, goes to show that the young Lions are Real Final Contenters this year.....GO LIONS.....:thumbsu:
Your young tigers will have a massive win this weekend chris, with the ins from seymour, you are a powerful side, if you had the seymour boys all year, you would be big contenders for the flag, but oh well, Good on the seymour boys for helping out a struggling side:thumbsu:
Lancaster vs Stanhope - Stanhope by ten goals
Armona vs Avenel - Ardmona by 5 goals
Girgarre vs Merrigum - Girgarre by 10 goals
Rushworth vs Yea - major upset, Yea by 100 points, with the ins from seymour,Daniel Belsten, Adam Loraine, Dallas Bergowicz, Jake Loraine, Trav Muir all in the best...
Yea will have a few seymour boys playin for them in 2 weeks against rushworth, i hope for yea they are the same guys that played last time against undera, Adam Lorraine(got best on playin Halfback), Danny Belston, (ex-yea), Dallas Bergowicz, Trav muir and coby shulz(ex-yea), yea mite actually...
The Yea boys had 60% of the play all day, adam Loraine(Seymour... I think) was killin it in the backline, his pace and ball skills opened up the game, just about every time the ball came he was at the fall of it. Danny Belston(Seymour) dominated the midfeild as did Dallas Bergowicz (Seymour...
Re: Offical 18's gvfl thread
I got down to watch Seymour Vs Mansfield today, Seymour had the play all day, Good Game to watch! Skills were a bit down but that brought out the better players, the end Score Was
Seymour 9-15-69
Mansfield 5-5-35
The Best for Seymour were Brent Voogt, Ryan...
Re: Offical 18's gvfl thread
prediction sounds good water boy....It will be a good test for the young Lions, some other players that can do some damage against moroopna will be Dallas Bergowicz, Grant Hately, and Trav Muir might be allright down back, and Young Joshy Watson might be a good...
Re: Offical 18's gvfl thread
The Lions struggled against a good team, as you said they are almost at full strength(Shepp Bears). There were a couple of young Lions that put in a fair bit, young Marcus Ure is looking good for the year and so is Adam Loraine with some early form in the 2's...
Shane Ralph finished on 71 and Fishy ended up with 41, i feel bad for seymour, Rodney semmens took his first wicket... EVER, good on ya rocket!! :thumbsu:
Re: Official GVFL thread
have u got a picture of it doon. Most of the pictures we have of have been updated to remove him and replace him with and equally classy seymour identity in shane schottner.
This is Saad Saad in the backline During the 2005 GVFL grandfinal, not only did he take this awesome mark, he propelled a 60 metre torpedo from half back to get the Seymour Lions on their half foward line resulting in a goal.

Re: Official GVFL thread
Swans would be a better club without this dog. As for wanting to have him play in your team, i'd rathernot play than play with him. he gives gvfl footy a bad rep. he is nothing but a sniping dog and he will seriously injure somone one day.
Thats exactly right, brisbane would want someone really promising like P.bowden or deledio are the tigers really up to give sum1 away that valuable, honestly aker is a gun, but he is also a smart-a s s and to cocky, the tigers dont really need him, He would be better at St. Kilda or Melbourne
Re: Offical 18's gvfl thread
U musnt have been watching the game very close then, adam loraine was pretty good a couple of weeks ago against us im not suprised he got best on if he played the way he did against us. He shut down our centre half foward pretty well
