$#!t .. ya can really see a senior side is struggling for numbers when waylans gettin a game.. wat did they expect when they picked him.. that he wouldn't do something stupid like that on the field??
my tips for round 11:
SENIORS:
Macedon FC to show the league that they are serious contenders by overcoming Woodend/Hesket in a close one by 10points. The Big Rig to get best on with a lazy 6.
Kilmore disappointing last week...won't even challenge the run of Riddell.. Riddell to win by upwards...
saw ex-Wakool players Adam Kearney and Clint Wheatley playing for Romsey in the riddell district FL today..
fair to say Kearney seemed to struggle-was smashed all day- but Wheatley went okay booting 3 goals. Romsey went down to Macedon by about 10 goals.
Macedon had all the play for the last 10 minutes of the game and in reality really should have won it in the end but costly mistakes causing turnovers found the ball being played on the wings and flanks a lot with avenues to goal hard to come by. James Wright was outstanding for the cats and...
Re: R.d.f.l Thread 2008
Riddell V Macedon Seconds was some of the best 2nds football i've seen. Both teams clearly wanted to win and showed many players pushing for senior selection. Macedon's first 10-15mins was their main let down with Riddell taking advantage of the Cats still brushing off...
I feel sorry for quamby, they've been hit with a hard stick this year...not much success over recent years leaves little to be desired for players willing to move out there...and its not like theres many jobs to entice players to move for. i hope over the next few years they can rebuild. they...
Re: R.d.f.l Thread 2008
yeah the macedon boys were just too skilled for their bigger bodied opponents...shoulda won by more..had about 10 more scoring shots than coburg.
the macedon 2nds came out on top by over 20 goals...although the opposition weren't much chop. the game got a bit fiery a...
Didn't help the mallee boys against Quamby, but certainly helped the blue boys against them! Don't be fooled by the larger ground giving Nullawil's pace an advantage - they got lost out wide. Murrabit played it much better. Should be a cracker game though - ?? by up to 2 goals.
And there is no...
That's true. Money has started becoming the soul obect in the Central Murray Football League with Balranald spending huge amounts of money on players..and from all accounts this has caused plenty of in-fighting and the coach who they lured with a 70 grand a year business is not happy at all - he...
Senior Premiers: Murrabit
Senior Runners Up: Wandella
VCFL Medal: Simon Morton
The Ladder: Mur, Wan, Nul, Wak, Quamby, Moula, Macorna, Ult, Hay
League B&F: Luke Maher

Season...
played back line last week against the Murrabit mob- apparently he's found his home back there.. might be hard to boot 7 from CHB.
Spear Kelly will boot 8 or 9 for the Saints.
nully to not allow Hay to kick more than 7 goals (sorry Hay, but i'm fairly sure the 19 goals of last week aint gunna happen)
Murrabit to continue their dominance of the league by accounting for Ultima.
Quamby to beat Wakool in a shoot-out
Macorna to get over the line by no more than 15 points
Saints went into the game without:
Glen Holt - out for season since Ultima
Steve Holt - indefinite
Mark Free - out for season since Wandella
Ewan Collins - indefinite
Peter Mann - out for season since Ultima
They were beaten by a better side on the day - Macorna ran and moved the ball well. The...
i'd say 4th spot is still up for grabs - moula. wakool. (quamby outside chance if they can find form but if not then no)
news round the traps is that mark free's knee injury from saturday's game is fairly serious. Chopper's boys will be spewin after a bad run of luck with injuries.
Nulli by 23 points
Quamby to get up in a close one (they'd have to be pumped after last weeks loss??) that looks might it might be a bit wet...
Macorna to win easy
Moulamein to continue in winning form
Nullawil may just still be too good for Macorna -22 points
Wandella to give hay a hiding - 100+ points
Wakool to come back firing - 7 points over the Murrabit Mob
Quamby v Moula - game of the round. hard to pick so seeming as a lot of the boys think moula are gunna get up i tip quamby by 8-12...
Ewan Collins from boort seems to be featuring in their best each week. anyone know how he goes?
saw him play first game against murrabit, has a bit of height about him but havent seen him play since.
