Was talking to a mate from my Brisbane days at the weekend... he said the grounds are fine as they've had some rain, the wider problem being because there's been none for Lake Wyvenhoe and the other catchments.
Whereas we've had little rain in either the catchments or the metropolitan area.
Re: D4 Section Ammos
Is this rumour rock solid or are you all writing Syndal's obituaries a bit prematurely?
Nonetheless found last year their senior coach was a ****er and they had some real idiots in their reserves. Especially one who gave a running commentary of threats -- if you touch me...
Now I know why the council cut down a couple of perfectly good trees at our ground last year.
5.30 on a Saturday evening? No, I can't serve you a beer, can't tell you where the valuables are, can't take the padding off the goalposts, can't get you some ice, can't give you directions to this...
Hugh Lyon... give me strength.
Last year they had twelve weeks to do our order and we finally got them at 5pm on the Friday before Round 1.
Not to mention a long-running saga for back-of-the-jumper sponsor patches.
HUGH LYON OUT!
Re: D4 Section Ammos
Shall do, mate.
No funny business here.... if you want the best steel it has to be forged in the hottest furnace.
Like on Sunday running around playing handball games with the kids at the council community day... tell you what, it weren't half hot!
Re: D4 Section Ammos
We won't be allowed to have them, I wouldn't think, until a few days before the game. So we will be trying to organise a weekday lunchtime training run to Elsternwick in order to get there before the office closes....
In other words, I will be taking the 246 down there...
Re: D4 Section Ammos
South Mornington apparently wear black with a yellow sash as well, so look out for a reappearance of the VAFA Clash Strip -- bottle green and lilac hoops. No joke. Bottle green and lilac hoops.
I think we might be attempting to argue our way out of having to wear such a...
Re: D4 Section Ammos
Whether this happens or not the Club's name is still Richmond Central Amateur Football Club.
On behalf of the Club: we have no comment regarding the possible change or the relative merits of the case for and against other than to say due process will of course be followed.
Re: D4 Section Ammos
Very rustic, Mount Lilydale. I seem to remember some sheep being interested onlookers. Seems like the Spy has been in the Secret Service for a few years at least.
When you say "down south way" I assume you mean ex-SFL?
If we do end up with twelve clubs it will be...
Re: D4 Section Ammos
Can see your point, but I think the other club you refer to had a reasonable team 3-4 years ago and their replacements have now combined to be a very handy side.
These two teams would be my pick for the 2007 Grand Final combatants.
People are free to use the public toilets if they wish but Centrals and our opposition tend to prefer the use of our well-appointed rooms.
St Kevin's can stay at or abandon their current ****hole as they see fit but they won't be coming to KB Reserve.
Re: D4 Section Ammos
I think we all know the club of which you speak, Spymaster. We are probably coming from further back but their sustained improvement has been very impressive. They are a good club with quality people as well as a team on the up and it would be no surprise to see them in a...
Re: D4 Section Ammos
Interesting forum here, even if a lot of the information where it concerns us at Centrals is a long way off the mark. For example, rumours posted of what was supposedly said at our coaching interviews a month before any interviews were even conducted.
For...
