Yep, back in the day post win. Up early, both papers, coffee and danish, or 😱 a coffee scroll with ooddles of butter home to the kitchen table. Do not disturb all over my happy face.
Sorry BH42 am away in Vietnam on holidays. But great news WIFI on the plane so was cheering the lads on all the way. One thing, a nice surprise is how quickly our new guys have evolved into a close knit unit. Chol, Ginnivan, Ambrosia Gunston then Dear and the new improved Meek now clicking, then...
Welcome to Hawthorn and the Jack Gunston school for Tall Forwards, looking forward to seeing Jack working with Calsher and Jasper and Ramsden and building a tall timber brigade up forward. Good Job MM and team.
Worth a look, just watched the replay ….again. At the 3.11.40 mark Jack is alone at the back of the group on camera, the song has gone on again and he has a wry smile on his face as he soaks it up. Right decision to come home, great game, kicked straight and got the all important win...
I also love his cheekiness at stoppages, slow to get up so our guys can get set up, he raises his head and has a quick look, often he just knows. Has a shrewd footy head.
Keen to watch this one, pretty full list with a good mix of old heads and young hearts confident we will give it a red hot crack.
Hawks by a delicate ;) goal or two.
Thanks Newmo, just a quick one. I am so impressed with Sam’s speaking ability, frank and honest affable and with a worldly understanding, like his comment about how Nash is being moved around and then how they are all still learning, even Jar’s about the indigenous world. I have never had the...
Some big chequebooks in WA being opened , a few with their own private plane ✈️
Funny they didn’t fly them or some of the family for his birthday. Missed that one Simmo
Agree, could start him forward, then down back in red time each quarter. The interchangeability, yep it’s a word! Between Hardwick and Sicily could really give oppo teams headaches, they are both fantastic marks, Ethan Philips could be the catalyst for change .
Just a little tweak.
B Mitchell Frost Scrim
HB Sicily Phillips Impey - D'ambrosio
C Jiath Newcombe Amon
HF Weddle Chol Moore - Macdonald
F Hardwick Dear Ginnivan
R Meek Nash Day - Worpel Mackenzie
Sub Watson
Love to see Weddle as HHF pace to burn and can kick a goal from...
That last clearance will sting and someone in the midfield will step up next time and tell meek to drop it to his feet and tell all present to pile on. One. More stoppage was all it needed.
But a one point loss you can point at a 100 different little things that would have gotten us over the...
What a game, young team totally spent in the last. Gutted, absolutely gutted but proud of so many for such a great effort.
A few need to have a hard look at themselves, gotta go HARD when its your turn.
NO Sicily NO Scrimshaw.
Bring on next week.
Footy is getting hard to watch, when it’s not the Hawks. Umpiring, commentary and lack lustre games, blow outs etc. I usually catch a game or two outside of ours each week, now it’s more casual glances maybe stop for a minute at the gym for a look but seems all a bit blah …….
Scummers playing...
Love that Impey is our captain for this game, so very well deserved. Also love our indigenous jumper, special tribute to Chance Bateman one of my all time favourites.
Pretty keen to see who we pick up based on this, what the selectors have front of mind as a missing role. Might give us an interesting insight into what they are thinking.
I loved watching Luke on the bench chatting and encouraging the players as they came off the ground. Like having a second coach at ground level, then to come on and snag a goal, which was a fantastic coast to coast effort, great sub choice for mine.
I'm thinking this will be Norths first pick in the MSD. Though i am struggling to find a phantom thread on the MSD that is not run by North moderators. Blah.
Depends on the team, time of year, weather patterns and star signs. WTF knows, definitely not me. They are only consistent in their inconsistency. GGGRRRR.
