Re: What's happening in the Bendigo Football League #2
Does anyone want to make any early predictions?
Premiers: Golden Square
Runners up: Gisborne
League Medal: Aaron Connaughton and Ollie Messaudi
Leading Goalkicker: Justin Maddern
Or anything else you want to add...
any predictions for the league medal? any dark horses? does anyone have a predictions for the 2 grand finalists and eventual premier? coming to the business end of the season it would be interesting to get everyone's thoughts before they unfold....
any others players known to be on the move? or do we have to wait and see the tranfer list? tooleybuc still look like the power team going from rumours, that is as long as they don't lose sully and arentz.
do you have the teams from the game today(sunday)? and any results? i know its hard to say this early on, but any early flag favourites? tiwi's seem to have slipped from there success last year, t/f?
Does anyone have any updates of what is actually happening in the count?? Can anyone post the votes club by club or leaderboard or is it on another website??
i'd say O'sullivan would have to be favourite for the medal, not sure if he is the bookies favourite but i think he will go well. arentz might steal a few though, kicking over 100 in a season would have to get you a few votes. thoughts on any other players for the medal? when is the count?
you seem like a very loyal kerang supporter there jambee. so, kerang are having a bit of a tough year competing with teams that have spent HUGE $$$$$, they have lost a lot of players from last years runners-up team. what do you expect from them? i am interested in knowing who these big paid...
either? but it would be interesting to see people's opinions on the side, maybe even naming a few players fighting it out for the one position? there will be a few big names in the side this year.
having a look at the draw for kerang, they have played 3 of the the top 5 teams for the season i would think. although they have played ordinary footy, i think you have to give them a chance against other teams. have a look at the players they have lost, i'm sure it will take a while to get used...
haven't heard those two names, are they the only recruits coming from that way for kerang? have you seen them play before? you obviously have inside news as i haven't seen those two on the transfer list? i'm sure forsyth would like to have a succesful team for his first year as coach (not...
that is good news for heywood, although they might need a bit more than that. i see andrew ryan and robbie gordon looking to head to the hampden league. is it true that pete sheperd will be back for the lions?
fair call, probably a bit too early to make big statements like my last one. i would say if north can get through to the grand final they would have to be a big chance, they have been there-abouts for so long now without any luck.
i can't see anyone getting near portland, especially if they get some more players from sanfl. if they are lucky enough to have an injury free season i think they could win every game.
it would be best not to start your 'well known' fact, as it is all rumours. but i agree who gives a f*ck, they were the best team in that year and haven't been so flash since then.
i did a little bit of research and have come up with this for you:
Coach: Simon Taylor
Local/Recruit
Weekly Payments $
ABRAHAMSON, Gareth

ANDERSON, Brad

BAILEY, Hamish
Local
CRAWFORD, Lachlan

you can't just say 'knowingly' without giving up names and who was on the big $$$, if you're going to make a call like saying they bought a premiership you need to give some proof of what you supposedly know. get back to me and i will let you know if you are right or not.
if i recall correctly, most of the players from the 2004 side were local boys who had played in hamilton all through there junior years. i wouldn't call that buying a flag, unless you have other information then i would love to hear it.
what has hamilton done so drastically from last season to have them placed close to the top 5? or is it the fact that other teams have lost so many players, ie. west gambier. heywood. looks like it may be a tough year again for those two teams.
