Warnambool to good for Tigers yesterday. Portland had a good second qtr but apart from that wbool had control. Jed Turland turned it on in the 3rd kicking 3 goals and a poster. Guy Saunders played in reserves..looked good..hope he hangs around.

    Hampden Football League Season 2016

Port Fairy vs Koroit should be a cracker Prelim. Would be great for HFNL if Port F play NWE in GF. Great story whichever side won.

    Hampden Football League Season 2016

Great win by Portland Tigers against South Wbool. Good to see they finished off a side with a strong last qtr. Ground in great condition. Going to be interesting to see who fills 4 th and 5 th spots this year.

    Hampden Football League Season 2016

Wbool and Koroit will be there at the business end of the season. Great to see the Tigers having another win after so many close losses this season. Lets hope they can crack on and push for the top five.

    Hampden Football League Season 2016

Levi went ok..I think his best work was done behind the ball. Not what I was expecting...different but it seems effective kicking style..a little gangly..but moves quite well. Mobile. Maybe be better on the ball than up fwd..we will see. Have to say I was surprised to. Pressure, effort and...

    Hampden Football League Season 2016

Yes MFooty Portland have some great kids. Just need some bigger bodied senior players to support them. Hard to attract players without the offer of employment .

    Hampden Football League Season 2016

If Portlands pressure and tenacity is the same the result will not be reversed. If Camperdown left to run thats when they will do damage. Bain is a gun.

    Hampden Football League Season 2016

Great win by Portland Tigers against Camperdown. Crane super as ever..Rebels players J Jones and Huppatz very good. Bain for Camperdown will be a handfull this year for defenders..doesnt need much time and space..will kick bags of goals this year.

    Hampden Football League Season 2016

Going on what some of the better clubs have recruited or retained I actually unfortunately think the gap between top and bottom sides will be greater this year.

    HFNL 2015 Season

Portland have 2 or 3 from Adelaide in their sights. Some not sure whether one or more have been down.

    HFNL 2015 Season

Koroit certainly are a great team. Having midfielders the size and ability of Templeton and Dobson certainly helps. Will be interesting how long they stay up the pointy end of the ladder. Would be good to see Port Fairy back up this years form and take another step. Whats holding back Nth Wbool...

    HFNL 2015 Season

Did hear about Portland going back to Western Border going back a while. Heard it from someone on the Western Border side of the fence. Havent heard any wispers down this way that i can recall. Hopefully Portland can have good recruiting over the offseason. Word is they have a couple in their...

    HFNL 2015 Season

Probably the romance of it but would love to see Port Fairy win the flag. Koroit the obvious favourites however so was Wbool last year. Would have backed Port Fairy in for GF had they finished third, think they are in the top two sides. Hope they still make GF.

    HFNL 2015 Season

Has been hard not seeing them win more games Go Tiges but great watching the kids development. If they can keep existing players and add Three key position players Portland will be pushing back up the ladder. Imagine will loose some to uni though.

    HFNL 2015 Season

If Port Fairy get third posn, barring injury I think they will play Koroit in GF

    HFNL 2015 Season

Dont rule out Port Fairy for flag yet..with a fully fit side and Holmer back they could do some damage come finals. Think this will be an interesting finals series coming up.

    HFNL 2015 Season

Port Fairy were very impressive against the Tigers. Very clean and excellent ball movement. Hare and McCartney finished off the good work in front of the big sticks. Hard to say how they would go against the top three..very different opposition. The current top 5 sides are the best 5 in the comp.

    HFNL 2015 Season

Next three rounds could go along way to who makes 5 spot on the HFNL Senior ladder. Will be very interesting. I believe Portland can match all sides but the top 4 sides. Had 39 shots in Saturdays game against Cobden. Unfortunately game was tainted by ugly malee involving most of the players on...

    HFNL 2015 Season

Didnt get their either Go Tiges. Shepherd still plays under 17's I believe. Season for the Tigers could be so much better had they won some of those early games. Add Mather, Bentley, Van Heughten and Craney and the youngsters would have those much needed players around them.

    HFNL 2015 Season

Great to see the Portland Tigers get their first win of the season. Well deserved, could have won more games but not to be. Lets hope they bring up their second win against Cobden at home this week.
