    Review Round 17, 2025: Williamstown v Box Hill Hawks, 20 July 2025, 2.05pm @ DSV Stadium

Who is umpire 44? It seems one way traffic from him - all Williamstown

    Preview Round 20, 2025: Hawthorn v Carlton Thurs 24th July 7.30pm MCG

Why would you rest the club's leading goal kicker who has been in outstanding form? It suggests that come the finals he would n't be selected. Go figure! Collingwood certainly wouldn't do it.

    Preview Round 19, 2025: Hawks v Power, 1.20pm Sat 19th July, UTAS

The need to beat Power is more than just a win, it's psychological, a bit like when we beat Geelong in 2013 in the finals after a long string of losses. The Power have bullied us in recent times even if the results have sometimes been close.

Player Watch Welcome to Hawthorn: Harry Morrison.

I've been a Harry supporter for a long time now, something which can be confirmed in my posts when others were calling for him to be dropped or traded. Harry has Sam Mitchell's discipline and work ethic. He wasn't starting 22 for some time but he worked and worked and worked at it and the work...

Autopsy Round 12, 2025: Hawks get swooped

Chasing shadows and then they didn't chase. In the last quarter Collingwood players were still running hard on the overlap. Ours looked confused about where to run and what to do. Earlier in the game it was notable that our teamwork was not on. Players kept on playing themselves into trouble...

Autopsy Round 11, 2025: Lions maul Hawks

To all those Morrison haters he was my best for Hawthorn yesterday, he was brave, precise and 100% committed throughout the whole match when others were fumbling around.

Autopsy Round 10, 2025: Suns get it done against plucky Hawks

I must have been watching the wrong game if you include Morrison in the 'not up to it category'.

    Merrett on Blakey

If the AFL is consistent - 4 weeks. But it is a bloody stupid rule. The first consideration should be intent. There have been numerous players rubbed out for up to 4 weeks where the action was NOT deliberate. Somehow the AFL has rules that are at odds with those in a court of law.

    Has football become almost unwatchable?

Ever since the AFL changed the rules with a promise that the game would become more exciting, the opposite has happened. It increasingly resembles rugby, rolling scrums, free kick after free kick, terrible skill execution. I am almost numb from watching the St Kilda Carlton game.

    Nash on Miers

Nash's hit was at a ball flying around in a pack. Careless? Yes. Intentional no. Smith's slap of the ball in Impey's face was deliberate. The AFL has got its priorities wrong. Smith should be suspended, not fined.

Autopsy Round 6, 2025: Hawks fumble the victory

The difference between the two sides was execution. Hawthorn's high tempo style rattled the Cats but also had us rushing when a little more poise would have had us win. What's promising is after watching other sides being forced down the line all weekend we were able to force a very...

Autopsy Round 5, 2025: Hawks refuse to join Gather Round

It wasn't Mabior's lack of effort in the marking contests - he didn't get to the marking contests.

And you are suggesting that Morrison be dropped? Wow!

Autopsy Round 5, 2025: Hawks refuse to join Gather Round

Morrison was OK. At least he didn't fumble the ball every time he was near it.

Umpiring Round 4 Suns v Crows - Was it a Mark to Rankine?

Watched parts of the match as a neutral. Couldn't help but feel that the Crows got reamed by the umpires both early in the match and late. In the case of Rankine's mark. It was a mark and he was tackled!

Autopsy Round 3, 2025: Hawks fell the Giants

He is getting the ball. His handball is good. He just needs to learn to kick it better.

Memberships Hawthorn 2025 Membership discussion - another record year!

What is it with replacement game tickets to the Melbourne game? I organised tickets for the other games (Carlton, Geelong and Collingwood) last week and got good seats. But the Melbourne game, the least likely to be sold out, the only seats on offer were, and still are, are behind the goals in...

Training 2025 Off-Season & Preseason reports and discussion

Can't understand the constant reference to Morrison looking for opportunity elsewhere. At the end of last season he was easily in the best 22. He is a thinking footballer now and making the most of his talent.

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn: Noah Mraz!

Liked Noah's highlights. Good overhead and also highly alert, looking for the immediate option. He will be a star and multiple premiership player at Hawthorn! Told his mother that some months ago!

News Hawthorn Racism Review - No player name speculation - opposition posters tread very carefully

This is a dignified end to a sad story. Well done Hawthorn FC.

Peptides! The *Essendrug Dopers: come smell the bull****! -PART 2

I get my kicks out of Hawthorn beating Essendon on the field not from cheap shots at them. The posts that claim the right to slag off at the opposition says everything about the poster and little about the target of the abuse.

Peptides! The *Essendrug Dopers: come smell the bull****! -PART 2

I think it's time posters stopped targeting Essendon FC and that this thread is closed down. This is not about the club it is about an individual who, incidentally, played for the club. I would hate any other team site specifically targeting anything Hawthorn.

News Hawthorn Racism Review - No player name speculation - opposition posters tread very carefully

Leave the ABC out of this. It was entitled to report on the news. I am just so glad court proceedings are about to start. We need to clear this matter up once and for all so that we can move on. There will be casualties and lessons for all.

Rumour 2024 Hypothetical trade and FA Thread

What is this? Frost was outstanding in 2024. Had Frostie played against Port we would have been playing Sydney. Why is it that the grass is always greener somewhere else?

Autopsy Hawthorn pipped at the post by Port Adelaide

No, the game plan stood up. Most of the players have never been subjected to the intensity that Port brought to the game. It is something that has to be experienced and will stand us in good stood in the future if the players learn from it.

Autopsy Hawthorn pipped at the post by Port Adelaide

Like many of the posters here I am both disappointed our exciting run has come to an end and proud of what our young team has achieved. I am also somewhat relieved. I have never been so anxious about football, daring to hope that we could go all the way and reading anything that might support...

Welcome Welcome to Hawthorn - Mabior Chol

Great to Sam sitting down and talking with Mabior on the bench during the last quarter rebuilding his confidence after some clangers. Mabior is critical to our chances of making it all the way. Forget what went wrong and keep moving forward.
