Inside - Neale Ashcroft Dunkley - to outside - McCluggage Bailey Wilmot Coleman Fletcher Zorko. Rayner does his thing. Levi is more inside ? Can't wait to find out.
So many magic moments crammed into 5 minutes. With the season on the line. At the G. 90,000+ fans all transfixed just screaming .. losing their minds. Sitting with the faithful behind the City goal. Ebb and flow. Up and back. In front behind and back in front. Are you kidding ?
Lots of fun and satisfaction listening to all these broadcasts. Kane Cornes' love affair with Lachie - and his general comments - is great. Jimmy Bartel is also pretty spot on.
But Malthouse - he really has a visceral dislike of all things Lions. Esp Joe / Cam / Zac .. the usual suspects...
Joe's retirement has left a hole in premiership team. So any forwards out there that wants a walk-up start in successful team a la Tom Lynch in 2019 ? You tend to look at GWS/ Gold Coast ( show case clubs ) or disaffected / injured players from Adelaide / Perth. Or those terrible talls at...
Moments ..
1st qtr - 9:24 Hugh honors Ryan's run thru' the middle to set up first goal. The courage and skill blueprint that knocked off the Cats in THE epic final is back. Confidence restored.
2 qtr - 5:45 Starce - intercept mark and kicks to Berry who fumbles behind the centre. Lloyd grabs...
Agreed. We need to recruit back line players - like the Hawks appear to be doing. They grow on trees @ Saints but we cannot keep an intercept marker on the paddock. It's too easy to stiffle Harris when he's one out.
Hasn't recovered from his dreadful GF experience IMO. Back to the lame one-arm marking attempts and really poor disposal decisions. Just contest fiercely and work from that.
If the Bombers haven't learnt from the Pies' ability to take out Andrews ( on every occasion ! ) with a tagger and therfore render our already weak backline bereft without any intercept marking option - oh and tag Neale - then on their head be it.
All clubs seem to be on the hunt for a 2nd and...
Thy way Melbourne used Melksham against Andrews was a clear sign. And the Pies matching him up with Howe. Adams has been a big loss. But hey .. Lester is filling a vital position which is more surprising ( in a good way ).
He's the fire starter. When his head is in the game and his kicking is on, we look $1m. The key to our game plan is bravely switching play and getting to the forwards one out. That's what he does. Even tho' we lost to the Demons, those 2 quarters showed what we can do when we keep looking for...
He loves sitting on heads .. and one day he will take that speccie. Meanwhile just keep imposing on the contest and playing that tall forward / pack-crashing role.
Time to become the next Mitch Robbo - full white line fever and really get stuck in. Start with fierce tackling and hard running to assist .. and see what happens.
