Any truth to the rumour that some Holbrook supporters were keen to back the brookers early in the week, but bailed out at the last minute when a certain big punter from Cul had the cash to play with! Good chance to beat the lions!
:thumbsu:
Apparently there are a few others at North wanting to move on, so maybe Hodgson has to make a stand otherwise contracts will not be worth the papar they are written on.
Hodgson probably can't afford to do a backflip on this one after his statements in the media, otherwise he will be...
Word from Cul is they won't bother playing this year as Jindera seem to have the flag won already. Boys thinking about taking a year off as it would be pointless playing when the premiership is already 'done & dusted' as they say. :D
Big Al you might be surprised to know alot of the guys playing / heading to Cul aren't on big $$$. Maybe the prospect of playing finals / success is worth more than the money. Wouldn't surprise me if your home town club spent more than Cul did last year:cool::cool:
Hornet, Badger got through unscathed. Pity you weren't here this year to lead some of your famous victory songs. The boys were still going pretty hard last night at the Star with no signs of slowing down.
Yes the lions are the premier team of the hume league. To bowwow we thank you for giving us extra incentive to win the flag. You must be stoked with the year Henty had and it must be comforting to know that Matty Klemke (the guy Henty knocked back) and all of those Rivcol rejects are now...
I heard the same MWOTH. Thiele in the forward line, West in the back pocket. Feel a bit sorry for the guys who ran the bench all year and got them to the finals, only to be pushed aside.
Bowwow are you able to confirm or deny this?:confused::confused:
Nagga,
which game were you at? Ward was reported for striking Gilson (only fairy taps anyway), and Kade was BOG. The management at Swampie Land must be felling realy good about telling Matty he was not wanted. From what i'm told Cul didn't play well (minus Ritchie, Campbell, Willis, Doust, and...
News from the local media in hawaii suggests Culcairn has more than 4 locals - lodge, mcgrath, hartley, kotzur, schulz, doust, chow brown, and you would probably also consider willis a local as well. you need to learn how to count MTAG. :D :D
Looking at the results the only surprise may have been Jindera's effort against Henty. Also interesting to read Culcairn will be without Chad Willis for some weeks as he is going overseas - this is a big blow to the Lions as he is a super kick for goal and also one pretty tough customer.:D :D
Looks like all the other teams should pack up and hand the cup to Henty already Bowwow. I think you need to remember that flags are won in September not April.
I had a mate at the game and he said Cul were just playing the footy whilst R-W were going the knuckle (especially their coach). Cul was too good all over the ground. I think bowwow may have underestimated the Lions - wonder what he will have to say if they can cause a major upset and beat the...
