This is in no way what we should do, but something that would make us a better team instantly on the park.
We offload our next years first pick to the swans for 14 and 17.
Use 6 with 17 and conca for fyfe and 14 for prestia.
Give brisbane 27 for rockliff, get them to pay some of his salary...
Something a bit out of left field and more fantasy then reality. If we actually believe we are gunning for a decent crack at it.
keep deledio.
we hope the blues trade out gibbs for 13.
we trade the blues our pick 6 for 13 and 25 might have to upgrade them a pick later on in the draft.
we give 25...
Trade vickery/griffiths/conca all for around 2nd round picks
For arguments sake lets say 29/31/36
Trade pick 6 and 29 for prestia and nicholls and 40
Trade bellis 36 and our next years first for rockliff and 20 and 48
Trade 20 for reid from sydney
Trade 40 for cloke
We loose pick 6 and and next...
There are a couple things to consider.
1. Where are we, pushing for finals? pushing for top 4? or rebuilding?
If we are pushing for finals getting in Prestia will help but then what? just hover around 5-8? gets u no where.
If we believe we can actually push for top 4, u go hard or go home, go...
Just one point 90% if not 95% of players are one sided in the afl, there are very few who actually use there opposite foot and of those only maybe 1% would be any good using there opposite, so can we cut the guy some slack in that department.
48 goals though from Garlett in the wafl in 19 games as an 18 year old small forward. You would really have to look at him.
Dunstan reminds me of Simon Black in the way he moves and kicks and looks class. Salem i see as a better version of Grigg the way he goes about it.
Lennon looked the most...
for 2 guys who have been at the club for as long as they have i reckon we would be looking at 400k opening up in the salary cap at least, thats only 200k each, the average wage is around 220k. However i could be wrong if they signed reduced contracts recently.
The average wage is about 220k so and offer of 250-300 for a guy who has been there 7 years and is now starting to show he belongs isn't too far off. obviously length of contract seems to be the issue and standing within the club
With our own reserve team next year it wont be as bad as many would think to bring in some experience players, price withstanding of course, picks and wage wise.
just curious but didn't we say we were going to be players in the free agency market? If that is the case then maybe that is the reason behind the contracts taking a long time? seeing who will be available to sign as a free agent. Therefore being a slight difference in what the club wants to...
ye he is playing like shit, but that comes down to a lot of things not just him being a party boy, and like i said if someone like him can get a chance why cant gartlett, and you watch if he is to leave even with his party boy attitude all the big teams coming after him.
there is a guy that goes by the name of mario balotelli go look at his wrap sheet then come back, can be an absolute idiot at times has amazing talent yet still remains at one of the biggest clubs in the world and getting paid 90K pounds a week and has many more that clubs would sign him if man...
couldnt find any info on this may not have looked hard enough, but ran into him today, didnt get a chance to ask him, but he was on crutches and a moon boot on his right foot. cant be good for his pre season.
