none taken macromantic..you do know I'm from Bell Post Hill originally?
You must also know i finished as pres last season(2008). as for loyalty, as seems to be your key word, think 11 years at Belmont may qualify. played my juniors at BPH, 5 years of seniors there...then went out into the big...
Don't know what's going on at Belmont or who they are talking to, Read all about it (past thread). I have left the Lions and have applied for a couple of 2s jobs...have been told I have 1 job if I want it
Well put lloyd... tragic events cannot be changed. We need to learn from them and support each other thru that. What better way to help people move on than to involve ourselves in the mire of rumour that is the post season. Let us not lose sight of the fact that a life has been lost...THAT is...
Probably the most sensible thing that has EVER been written on here by anyone, muttonchops...achieves f%^k all and can have absolutely tragic consequences...always easier to walk away
In what regard? I'm only the caretaker Pres at the moment. See who else wants to put their hand up come the AGM...Will have a kick again, 5 games for 100. Only taken me the best part of 11 years:D
On to this week, I think the boys from Windy Hill may be a bit to polished for the Tigers. BPH by...
As much as I have my reservations about Jase, it is good to finally hear an impartial voice on the umpiring. They have been a protected species for far too long. I know we need them and there are some very good ones out there, but they have become too involved in the game.
No we're not. Murph and Toohey are already signed for next year.
Big news with Boofa getting off...BPH can't win it without him and it will be interesting to see if he can control himself come Saturday.
Jase a little disgusted in the commentary box with the umpiring on Sat, Bourkey? My tip is it doesnt matter how bad he is, and WE all know he is woeful, Murray Fanning will still be there on that final day in September:thumbsd:
Re: GDFL 2009 Season
Couldn't agree more about the coaches picking the side. Better judges, IMO. Was a couple of glaring ommissions, with Sean Gallagher and Spud Hyland not making the side (again, my opinion).
As for the Whitley medal, once again you are spot on. 2 examples stood out for me...
Rooms do look good, Drago. Was a pity they weren't open when we played East a couple of weeks ago. Wasn't alot of room to get out of the beautiful weather that day!
Considering the love people have for Grovey, timmy, there will be a bigger crowd at Winter Resort on Sunday:D
My tips for this week:
Centrals over Anakie
BPH to beat Corio
Nth to beat Winch but only because its at Nth
East to beat Inva
Banno to beat Thomson. Can't believe Dale and...
Few things came out of todays games. East are now clear premiership favs and Inverleighs season is over. BPH probably showed the sort of form it needs to sustain to seriously challenge for the flag...
Looks good to me, Drago, although I think the Lions may get the points. Should be a good game with both sides wanting to finish off disappointing seasons with a few more wins
Never thought I would say this, but couldn't agree with you more.
On to my tips for this week:
Thomson easily over Winch
Nth to beat West
Banno to beat Anakie
Inva to beat Belmont.
East to beat BPH, just
If Corio want to play finals, they have to beat Centrals...
No idea, old wise one...I would hazard a guess and say either the coaches or the other blokes on the bench. Not happy with their choices, mate? I would have thought it would have been near on impossible to pick 6 (which you now have to) after Saturdays showing
Injuries and players walking away midseason. Have to say I'm glad I had to leave after running around in the 2's. One of the more embarrassing chapters in the Lions history. If there is one side that we can get up for it is usually East
My tips for round 12:
Winch to get that win they have been so close to over West
East to beat Werribee
Thomson to continue on their merry way against Anakie
Inverleigh to beat Nth
Banno just over Corio
BPH over the Lions
My tips for this weekend:
BPH to get over Werribee in a cracker
Banno to bounce back against Inva in a very close one
East to continue their march towards finals footy against Nth
Corio to beat Winch at the Devils playground
Anakie to beat West
Thomson to beat Belmont
yeah I do get a bit worked up and sometimes go over the top. Of course I get the shits if someone has a crack at my beloved Belmont. Sometimes my passion overrides my brain, but I make no apologies for that at all. Just hate when so called people in the know talk out of school. Thats all
