Was that a fact or was that just because he did the "dirty jobs" during a game. Like getting in and under to get the ball out etc. Didn't do the flashy stuff, only did the tough 1 percenters.
Only other thing I remember about him was coming in from off screen to absolutely poleaxe Ottens (I...
I couldn't be bothered, but there are Etsy sellers that sell Marlboro stickers to suit this set (as well as tyres that are the right sizes) if you want it to look true to life.
That is a hilarious mental image though. I remember being a cricket obsessed kid and drawing the Benson and Hedges...
8yo has been into it since he was the higher end of 4. I'll have to snap some pics of his best sets. His obsessions come and go. Early on it was space, then pivoted to Jurassic Park/World, and now his last 2 sets have been Minecraft (though Jurassic Park still gets drooled over in the...
I miss the Network. When my first kid was born I'd sit up at night and just have old 96, 97, 98 Raws running in the background. Disappointed to open Netflix and see that their 90's Raws only have like 16 episodes from each year.
Seems insane that there's so much content that was digitised and...
My 8yo is obsessed with Lego and the obsession is slowly permeating to my wife and me, along with our 5yo.
Odds on favourites to start my collection would've been something Star Wars, but couldn't resist these. Started with Senna for Father's Day and the current day McLaren for Christmas.
Came here to post exactly this. Old Malty had nothing more than a pocket full of sour grapes but apparently that was still enough formally to investigate us.
Geelong talking to yet another elite talent, a year ahead of his contract expiring, nah, nothing to see here. Has anyone other than us...
Any time you even mention the umpires you're laughed at because "Yeah the umpires made a 48 point difference". The fact is that they absolutely stifled us when the game was on the line and then once our backs were broken we admittedly let Richmond get away with it.
Atkins allowed to take...
The term whipping boy is often thrown around as a defence mechanism as if these players aren't deserving of the criticism they receive.
The worst players in a side will always be the most criticized. That is natural in every level of sport. They make the most mistakes, and often they cost you...
Nowadays they release the first lot (that is rounds 1 to 15 or whatever it is) in one big hit usually in February.
Then the rest of the season usually a week or 2 after they announce the dates and times for the last lot (May/June).
It's almost farcical at this point. Absolutely signature AFL move.
"We've investigated everyone and found no wrong doing on any of our sides. But also the bloke is stepping down for no reason even though he was cleared. Nothing suss."
Back before we each had kids a mate and I tried it once in the early AO days and it was nuts. Took hours just to get back to the original drop off point at Mt Barker at which point I still had another half hour drive back to the Bridge. Never again.
Yeah we're from Murray Bridge so gotta do what we gotta do. They do do a bus from here but it's so slow (and you still have to pay to get to Mt Barker anyway). Much prefer being in charge of it ourselves.
We park at a Wilson Park on North Terrace. As long as I remember to prebook a day or two...
This is the biggest fear. At the moment we're all filled to the brim with optimism that we're going the pick the best 22 each and every week. I do wonder how many weeks (if any) we make before we start seeing Smith, Murphy, etc sneaking in.
To be honest I didn't even know you could park at the oval for footy. Never really even crossed my mind. Me and the lad always park in the city and walk there and back which is pretty good value if you pre-book.
We do generally eat there though. We're from the country so only get to 3 or so...
I still think they'll jag one or two. Footy's fun like that. You can always count on one team not showing up. I will suss that out though, was looking at one last night where it's "Which game will be Richmond's first win?" Could be some juicy value in those given you can rule out most teams...
As soon as I started hearing the media pencil us in for finals and our players saying finals or bust I couldn't get a bet on quick enough for us to miss the 8. At that point we were $2 to miss the 8, easiest double up of cash ever.
One of his biggest failings is that he seems to struggle to get us "up" for games, and even worse when we are favourites.
The first 9 rounds will decide our season. It's chock full of winnable games, yet also chock full of the exact kinds of games we love to lose. Essendon, GC, Freo, Port away...
Just finished God of War 2018 for the first time a few weeks ago. Perfect timing to drop Ragnarok. Although at the moment I'm in the middle of my first Horizon Zero Dawn play through and really keen to do Ghost of Tsushima after that.
Up until a few years ago (or maybe even just last year) the Strikers always wore blue pants. Not sure why we decided to change, perhaps someone trying to get consistency across the league. I couldn't count the amount of times I've scrolled to a highlights clip and just assumed it was the Heat.
Maybe he's less annoying to the casual viewer? If you heard him once or twice a year he probably sounds quite good, as a play by play he's actually very good and knowledgeable. It's just once you hear him for the 10th time you realise that every single call of his is the same with the exact same...
Cricket 2000 got hammered by me and my mates at high school. It was hilarious how far you could get the ball to swing or spin. I distinctly remember bowling leggies about a metre down leg and ripping them back onto leg stump, which would promptly be called a wide and not given out, despite the...
Upgraded to PS Plus Extra before Christmas so gave this a try this week.
Struggled to even get through the training. Is it just me or is the "Press L1 or R1 once to trigger a certain type a shot" just broken? Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't, there's no indicator to let you know if...
