Exactly right. I expect players like Jagga and Draper to contest for this years rising star. They were much better prepared than Lalor who never ever even had a preseason due to cricket commitments. Jagga, who had already finished school in 2023 committed to footy training like a true...
RIP Ron.
I don't think anyone came close to Ron when it came to statistical AFL/VFL information.
A true BigFooty legend.
Maybe Chief can have some award or something to remember him by made for him. A truly unique character.
The truth is nobody will know who made the best selections for 3 to 5 years. Next year I expect guys like Jagga and Draper to tear I tup as they were far more advanced than our boys. I expect that to change but as I said, nobody really knows.
On behalf of the Tiger BigFooty community, I'd like to congratulate our own KiwiTiger for receiving the exclusive Alice Wills award for outstanding service as a volunteer to our beloved club.
Well done mate!
*You did bury poor old Emmett Dunne a little prematurely! LOL.
I am impressed at the intensity of training that was severely lacking last year. Having Caracalla back is so good for the youngsters as he has an astute football mind. Smillie is going to put a lot of smiles on all our faces!
I think the club wanted a Tom De Koning type rather than a pure ruck as they may be seeing the game moving to this type of ruck in the future. Another example of this type of player is Luke Jackson.
Ok. I get it. A human being can’t ask that question. Only a human being who is a swan’s supporter can.
Right. I get the hint. That logic indicates I should move on. Thanks.
The difference is that Adam Kingsley was a fresh voice bringing ideas from Richmond. His game plan is very Hardwick like with adjustments for his personnel.
Cox has been at Sydney for years. He has learnt most of his coaching from Longmire. He isn’t a fresh voice. He maybe the best but how do...
From all reports from supporters, it’s not. Thank you for not attacking me like some of your fellow supporters. This thread popped up on my feed and decided to make a comment that a few may have been thinking. It wasn’t wishing anyone harm. Quite the opposite. I was hoping that his health is...
It's not a negative comment. It's a comment made purely because of the timing. I hope I am way off the mark but most would question the timing. No need to be rude and crass.
it's just a thought because of the timing. Normally you would have made this decision before the trade period and draft. That's all. I hope to God he is ok.
Toce had his fingerprints all over this draft. He picked many of these guys early on. He actually said in May that Lalor would go no.1. Tragically he passed away but his legacy will live on.
Where did I say they planned it 2 years ago? I said they knew early this year. As opposed to many teams, the players you are eluding to wanting out are dual or triple premiership players. They actually love the club and are extremely grateful for their opportunities and success. They are all...
The truth is the players and club discussed the situation at length. All players came out publicly at some stage stated they were happy to stay if the right deal couldn’t get done. That’s not a bad situation at all. That’s a situation that every club would love to have. In other words, if the...
Seriously? Taranto and Hopper were decided upon sometime early in 2022. Dimma was still our coach.
Fast forward to early 2024 and the club is entirely different. Yze is our coach. Dusty is contemplating retirement. Bolton had been in discussions with the club about going home at some point. So...
Jagga barracked for Collingwood.
Anyway nobody knows what will happen in the future. These threads are full of people that know SFA about the players and how they will develop.
What I am happy about is the size of the guys we have. 5 out of the 8 are 194cm plus but still pretty agile. Lalor...
Lmfao.
Jagga had the whole year off to train and maximise his 71kg frame. Lalor had no preseason. We didn’t draft for next year mate, we drafted for 3 to 5 years time. Smilie is already bigger than Cripps. He is agile and a better kick than Cripps. If you can’t imagine how much of a bull he...
