I agree - but always be wary of the men against boys element. There'll be kids who are substantially behind him in maturity & development. We all know kids who were great in U12s but were mediocre by U16s...
as above - when we, and the others, push for two matches each against the big Vic clubs, something has to change. When teams are allowed to send preferences for who they play, traditional fixtures etc., there's always fallout from that.
Leave the tin hat bullshit for Twitter.
also consider the effect of all the other fixture manipulations - we always play Carlton R1, the big 4 Melbourne clubs tend to play each other twice for blockbuster games, local derbys must happen twice... shake that down and the teams not included in those (particularly Cats & Roos) are more...
10 list vacancies now after Cumbo and Coulthard have been delisted. We're not taking that many kids surely. One or two free agents plus at least one pick swap to drop another one?
As many as you have space for on the list. Four is usually the average. But do we really want to be taking kids at #50, on top of the hand we will have after all the trades? There's only so many we can put proper development time into next season, we don't need an average age of 19.
we have to pay a minimum % of the cap, we came last with several of our best players leaving. Unless we start paying list cloggers $750k/yr, we will have trouble paying that minimum. So if it can buy us leverage elsewhere, we should make it work for us.
Exactly - Lynch is a no.1 forward. All the others are no.3, perhaps no.2 at best. They need that leader to provide the structure, the intelligence etc - even if he's injured for half the season, he still provides that leadership.
