I don't understand why this keeps being mentioned? Tigers want more than 10 and 18 for Bolton and presumably wanted 14 for Baker. But somehow we are going to get both of them for basically pick 10 and 11? It's just not going to happen. That being said Baker won't come to Freo regardless.

If we are 1-5 without Bolton then we were right to keep our picks as we wouldn't be in the window we thought we were and need to reload through the draft.

Yeah it could. Maybe it ends up being something like 10, 11 and 18 for Bolton 14 and change.

Why? We would still have two firsts we could move back into next year.

Freo trade 11 and a future first for pick 2 from North then on trade 2 to Richmond for Bolton. Richmond go to the draft with 1, 2, 6, 26, 34, 44, 46, 52, 62, 71, 77. I'd imagine Richmond package up some later picks to move up with a team that needs academy points.

Richmond want pick 2. We could do 11 and a future first for 2 and then trade 2 to Richmond for Bolton. Then we still have 12 and 18. We could trade 18 for Brisbane or Geelongs future first and use 12 to Draft Bo Allen.

They aren't in the open draft pool so it doesn't matter if they get selected before those picks. Yes the number of the number of the pick will drift back but it doesn't change the value of the pick.

Trade 7 and 10 for 4 and 23 actually makes a lot of sense imo. Take our highest rated player at 4. Wait for Henry bid match it. Then use our second and a future pick to move back into the first round.

I'm not sure why people are suggesting that we trade for pIcks around the 11-12 range as we will likely have to match a bit for Liam Henry before that. We need picks before we believe someone will bid on him.

I don't believe Brad Hill will even go on the trade market but if he did he would be worth more then what we traded to get him. Averaging 24.8 disposals per game vs 17.4 in his last season at hawthorn and 490 meters gained vs 339. Hawthorn won't be willing to give up what we would want for him.

I would do it if I was gold coast the difference between the top 5 players is quite minimal they could probably take Max King at 3 and Ben King at 5 and still have pick 11.

Curious what would you guys think of Pick 4 and 2019 First (Pick 7-11?) For Neale and our 2019 second (Pick 22-24?) points wise it's less then 4 and 22. But I feel its gives Freo a little more flexibility when it comes to future trading.
