Sad to hear the of the passing of Romsey player Brad 'Rooster' Cuthbert.
A former Scarborough Medal winner and ripping bloke.
Thoughts are with the Cuthbert family and the RFNC at this difficult time.
RIP Rooster.
I believe so. Farmer is mates with Brewer so it would appear that he remains. Also that there maybe another mate of his from the Sunbury Lions heading out there as well. Have been reliably informed that the Davidsons are staying, Erwin, Smith-Whiting have committed and also the Henderson...
Also ex Fitzroy, Richmond and St. Kilda player.
Ripping fella and still played good footy a couple of years back for his original club, Maryborough Rovers in MCDFL. Very good communicator and great footy brain.
Unfortunately the RFNC was unsuccessful in having Cameron's suspension over ruled. While acknowledging that the appeal submission prepared and presented by the RFNC was one of the best they had seen, and raised a number of interesting points about the initial hearing, the wording of the appeal...
Can vouch that when trying to tune in to the coverage in Romsey all you get is ABC. But is also available to stream live off the Highlands FM website. Was at work in town on Sunday and listened to the whole broadcast.
While I can see why Matt Davidson may take home the medal, my tip is that his team mate Shannon Green will win it. Was potted on here at the start of the year but has been brilliant working through the middle. Fittest he's been in a long time and been great in teaching the young guys as well...
what if the club has a function on the sat night and lose money over the bar because footballers and netballers have to play on the Sunday and wont drink is that fair?
Yes Woodend have their major function on the Saturday night of the weekend in question, but there we go assuming that Woodend...
Ash McNaughton from Romsey.
Grant Puxley from Riddell.
Both have the ability to break games open in a very short time. McNaughton should lead Bowen count before injury.
In relation to the Cousins discussion: with the exposure it will bring to the RDFL, does anyone honestly believe that it...
Awesome effort by the Redbacks. But on a sour note, appears the big Yak has done a serious knee injury and will miss the rest of the year.
Kangas over Riddell by 13 points
Broadford over Wallan by 5 points
Diggers over Kilmore by 69 points
Macedon over Woodend by 30 points
Rockbank over...
Romsey by 75 points at a very windy McPherson Park. Matt Davidson 9 sausage rolls. McNaughton BOG, Austin, Burlak, Erwin and the most overated footballer in RDFL Yak, best players.
I agree, but the topic was most influential in 2011. So instead of bringing up the past, I am giving my opinion on who I believe it will be. And for the record, I think that AJ and Matt Davidson will both kick a ton and it'll be Kangas v Redbacks in the big one.
I'll give it a crack Bomba. In no particular order:-
1. FISH (Kangas) - Premier big man in the comp. Will give the Kangas 1st use of the footy more times than not.
2. B. Caton (diggers) - Number 1 defender in the League. Sets up many an attack.
3. Austin (Redbacks) - Will be the premier...
While there is no doubt that FISH is the standout ruckman of the Comp, to say that Yak is a very average footballer is complete garbage. Multiple club best and fairest, multiple RDFL Ream of Year, multiple Interleague rep and multiple top 5 in the Bowen Medal. Sounds like the bloke is a bit...
No U/18 team for Kilmore or Diggers. Whoever is playing those sides in the ones will play each other in the kids. ie: Riddell v Kilmore and Wallan v Diggers - U/18 will be Riddell v Wallan.
Romsey down to Fitzroy Stars by 5 goals. Lovett brilliant for Stars and Austin not far behind for Redbacks. Redbacks missing Erwin, Burlak, Carroll, McNaughton, Mitchell and a couple of others.
RDFL will be using the Burley footballs this year. And unless you get your hands on the Sherrin specifically produced for AFL Competition, there is little difference between the 2 of them.
And for what it's worth
1. Riddell
2. Romsey
3. Sunbury
4. Diggers
5. Kilmore
6. Macedon
7...
