Re: Ovens and Murray Part 3
admittedly i'd had a 8 or 9 cans by the time i seen this at the gold cup on friday, so correct me if i was seeing things, but i'm sure north albury captain dan leslie was in the exclusive albury function at the races - what a terrific msg that sends to his hopper...
Re: Ovens and Murray Part 3
tossol = hypocrite i reckon
its common knowledge around corowa that all the melbourne recruits are on over 1000 a game and that tossol gets 25-30 grand to coach -i would have thought that sort of money could be much better spread around a core group of 30...
Re: Ovens and Murray Part 3
yep, that's the same one draftpick, he's a gun - tough with good skills
on another note, sounds like this will be jarrod twitt's last year in charge at the kennel - he's off to holbrook next season i believe :thumbsu::thumbsu:
not sure RHG ... depends if howlong in talks with a bloke from williamstown in the VFL
judging by your comments on the hume league board the spiders man might be from swan hill?
Its good to see that this has been clarified by himself in todays border. Heta will be the most dominant ruckman in the comp by a long way. Just need to find goals now the bulldogs as Bradshaw is going to the goldfields (paper).
On a other note why is it that Adam prior's Clearance has been...
nah mate, certainly not cupido's mrs ... truth be told, north albury are probably one of my least favourite clubs.
all i said was i reckon it's good for the league to have recruited someone with a bit of a name given all the departures its had.
it also seems my mail on heta was incorrect. a...
yeah that's probably a fair call, i guess i was working on the logic that he would probably play mostly out of the goal square but i suppose if hoggy's going to play on in 2010, which from all reports he's going to, that the goal square will be mostly his domain.
cupido's supply might not be...
good call, far too much negativity!
i reckon it's gotta be good for the league to get a player like cupido into it ... even if he is a bit of a controversial figure.
i think hoggy was talking out his a**e a bit when he said cupido was coming into his prime as a footballer (o&m is hardly the...
both albury and yarra would have to be thrilled with how the offseason has gone for every other club in the league.
noone is going to get near either of these 2.
spargo and ednie's biggest problem will be that they've both got to play 19 or 20 games hoping they don't pick up any major...
when is stan magro arriving in myrtleford?
is he bringing any players from WA with him?
also, does anyone know if shane gaston has definitely gone to SA?
great wrap there velvet lion
heard from a wahgunyah bloke last night that ferraro may not be coming back to corowa this season due to a change in his work situation. would be a massive blow to corowa if true. not sure how accurate a source this fella is though
heard this last night also along with brandon mathews ... couple of big losses for lavi
i notice it's also been posted on the hume league board so i'm guessing where there's smoke there's fire
can anyone from lavi or bb saints confirm?
i reckon with all of wodonga's losses - even though heta and thompson will be quality gains - that they won't be in the same class as albury and yarra ... i'd say it will be a standout top 2 teams and then on any given day the next 7 teams could all beat each other
heard on the grapevine that...
There's no doubt he can play football and will be a star upon his return to the o&m toughguy, i mean hitman.
And it's also admirable that he didn't just go to the highest bidder, no question.
However, don't call me a liar, the story about him wanting the story in saturday's paper is 100% true!
Heard an interesting story out at the tavern last night.
Mackie knew he was going to be a tiger on thursday but told the border mail he wasn't going to tell them where he was playing until friday so that he could be on the back page in a saturday edition, therefore ensuring 60,000 people see...
is mackie definitely goin to albury?
pretty sure raiders are still right in the mix provided they can recruit a few.
heard on the weekend that nick raines won't be back at corowa next year with ryan increasingly unlikely
there's no doubt a lot of clubs would be envious of the tigers!
i guess all they can try and do is poach the tigers juniors who won't be getting a go with all their new recruits :p
tigers trying to emulate their record from the mid-90s when they had at least one player on their list that had played at another o&m club?
north alb - bush
raiders - thompson, mcalister
lavi - carroll
myrt - carey
wodonga - crothers
wang -
rovers -
corowa -
yarra -
only 4 clubs to go...
agreed!
there's no doubt lavi is the best venue for the grand final and hopefully that's where it stays!
on another note, anyone heard of any potential recruits from sides that years have already finished?
thought we might have heard a couple out of north albury or the raiders by now...
Certainly a strange set of circumstances with young Way.
Did Flower Power get stuck into him on the radio on Sunday did I hear?
Also, what chances on Way going to the Raiders with his cousin Brendan next year?
From what I hear, the pick of the quotes from J. McCormick to J. Ryan was "at least I don't get paid $1500 a game to abuse my teammates".
Been rumblings out of Corowa since last season that the Melbourne boys have a bit too much to say to the younger Corowa players and that they can "dish...
I've heard Adem say he'd love to coach once his AFL career is over so there wouldn't be much point going to Myrtleford as the coaching job is already taken, regardless of whether he's friends with Beams.
Plus he's a Shepp Swans bloke anyway isn't he? So the GV might be more tempting for him.
fair dinkum, who cares guys ... i didn't think it was a great article but it was refreshing to read an opinion piece related to o and m, normally have to read mike sheehan or wallsy to get that
at least he puts his name to his comments as well winmar ... or r u going to enlighten us as to who...
