Stupid not to rule Marshall out now, everything happens for a reason and when we wouldn’t give him 12 months to get the head right, the footy gods snapped an Achillies for him.
Clearest sign ever to give the bugger a year off.
From the limited exposed form I have witnessed, he is an upgrade in every way imaginable on Narkle, who I did not mind. However, let’s not forget he was plucked out of Wangaratta Rovers only a couple of years ago.
Don’t think Richards is an Offensive weapon as a small forward, not a Riolli or Stephen Milne. He is a work horse who is very good both ways. I think he is better suited to a Wing/Midfield role than a small forward.
Resigning Hinkley, followed by Recruiting Ben Jacobs - we needed a Key Forward, Jack Darling was there and touted as a top 3 selection at our selection 16, even with all the off field drama reported we should have pulled the trigger.
I read it as they ran well and showed something Athletically, however when it came to game sim or ball movement they churned the footy over. But that was just my interpretation
Yeah, I get that. I always thought A Grade footballer being the top 6ish footballers in your team, especially when the lists are 38 or whatever, means 23 A Graders and 15 B Grade footballers on each list, doesn’t really make A Grade footballer all that note worthy.
I know it’s not what you asked, but someone said both Watkins and Lai put on a display that showed exactly why they were invited, and also why they are not on a list.
Sam Day will kick 80 goals this year!
Fagan and McRae while they may say the soft stuff externally have never shown to put themselves in front of another and have been ruthless in list decisions and/or documented physically shaken when addressing players.
Ken has shown multiple times he would...
I remeber them belting the suitcase out of Daniel Stewart at training one night I went and watched. It’s about gathering in congestion, early in the year good to get accustomed to protecting self in congestion without the risk of concussion. This time of year is about KMs in the legs more than...
Not at all, Micheal Wilson was a B Grade footballer, but one of the first picked in any team he played in!
A Graders are the cream, B Graders are a rung down, C Graders still play 50-100 games of AFL footy and many win premierships playing their role. C is still a passing mark.
JHF, Butters...
The whole body composition looks completely different, still thick legs, but waistline and torso doesn’t look bulky in pictures. He is elite by foot, if him and Farrell are delivering the pill inside 50, we will quickly forget about how bad the Houston trade was on our behalf.
Surprised...
If we are lucky, Sinn as a Burst midfielder, JHF as the Class with Butters and Rozee being Half Forwards/Extra mids, Drew and Wines as the Big Arsed Warriors, Miles Burgman, Kane Farrell, Logan Evans, Dyl Williams and Lachie Jones become the most dynamic smalls in the game. As mentioned...
