In the last quarter we could not take a mark. Also defense out of our forward line was very poor. You can't tackle when you are 15 metres off your player. This is not the mids is it? Was the conditions upsetting our marking? Is the fact that our rucks take few marks a problem?

No-one has said anything about provocation. It looks to me that Brayshaw was pushing and shoving Gaff. It was not an unprovoked hit.

Why would we have a FF in Vardy who can't take a mark? Who on our list can take a mark in the forward line besides JK JD Lecca? Is Mallen the answer?

One possible problem with Vardy is that he doesn't seem to take many marks (average around 2 in 2017). This limits his effectiveness around the ground. Vardy as an obvious in is therefore not so clear.

Yes JD and JJK are automatic ins. These guys not only kick goals but they take marks up the ground to relieve from the backline. LeCras does a lot as well by taking rotations in the mid field. Barrass will not be greatly missed as Schoey is playing quite well.
