    AFLW Round 5 - 2024 AFLW season (Tues 24th - Sun 29th, Sep.)

I can't understand how she didn't realise she was hot. Had three free teammates near her as well and less than 2 minutes left with a 7 point deficit. Just stood there frozen and got tackled, HTB.

Preview Round 5 v Brisbane @ Brighton Homes Arena

I haven't thought Munyard has been that awful so far. She probably offers slightly more than Boileau right now, but she's a veteran compared to a two-gamer fresh into the system. Much more upside with Boileau. I think we're going to rely on winning the ball in defence and in the contest enough...

Preview Round 5 v Brisbane @ Brighton Homes Arena

Adelaide have broken from their usual extended bench method and didn't leave out the last three mentioned this week. Instead it's: In: Ballard, Kustermann Out: Smith, Waterhouse Two out of the three changes Firewalker wanted anyway! Just Boileau for Munyard missing. The starting 16 is...

    Opinion Non-Crows AFL 11

I just happened to log onto Kayo and there's apparently a Betts-Houli cup? Admittedly I've been away from the news for a while but I'd never heard of it. Apparently it's a match between Betts' Indigenous academy, and Houli's Muslim academy? Maybe we should be focusing on some Muslim recruits...

Play Nice AFL Womens - General Discussion

I will admit to having no actual knowledge about this, but is there any possibility that they might go to the same size ball the men use? I'm convinced that the smaller ball is more inaccurate, more prone to being affected by the wind, more difficult to kick flush, etc. Obviously women are...

    AFLW 2025: 12-round, 18-week H&A season?

The midweek fixturing is the way to go for now, I think. Have the men play on the weekends, and the women play Monday-Thursday. Football all week long, clear air for the women, and even allows clubs to spread their various coaching/conditioning teams across both groups without worries about...

Opinion Adelaide Crows New Logo Discussion

I've never really cared about the logo, and this one seems roughly as bland and uninteresting as all our previous ones to me. That being said, it's looks like something directly out of a Windows 3.1 Clipart pack.

    News Non-Crows AFLW 2024

I haven't actually been able to see most of it - my eldest gave me a gastro yesterday so I've been mostly shuffling around like a zombie and trying to keep food down. Just saw the scores and thought, finally, a match that doesn't feel over by half time!

Preview Round 5 v Brisbane @ Brighton Homes Arena

Sucks if that's the case. Although you'd think she would be dropped for personal reasons, rather than "omitted" and then not seen since. I refuse to accept there is any way she has been dropped on merit (regardless of any lack of flexibility) considering some of the other players we're listing.

    News Non-Crows AFLW 2024

So Carlton smashed Geelong (holding them goalless), and then got smashed by North (losing 12 goals to 1). But somehow Geelong managed to draw with North. Figure that out.

    News Non-Crows AFLW 2024

Finally a moderately close game, with Geelong and Hawthorn only a couple of points apart at half time. Albeit, it has blown out a bit with Hawthorn kicking six unanswered goals.

Preview Round 5 v Brisbane @ Brighton Homes Arena

Still no Mueller even on the extended interchange bench. I wish someone in the media would ask a question about it. If we're going by the standard set in previous weeks, the first five names listed on the bench will be the ones who play. That would mean Varnhagen and Boileau in, Munyard and...

    News Isaac Cumming to Adelaide

It sounds like our list was so shallow that every long-term injury necessitated playing a rookie. Presumably that either means our list only has 22 good players, or that we have a bunch of good players who have been previously deprived of experience.

    News Isaac Cumming to Adelaide

It does beg the question though, if our list quality is so much better than Port's, who just played in yet another prelim final, why did we finish 15th? Why did our coaching group get so little out of our list compared to what Port's got out of theirs?

    News Isaac Cumming to Adelaide

Excellent, glad to have that one locked away. I was fairly confident it would go our way, but nice to have it confirmed. Now to orchestrate a cheap trade for ANB, and to hit the draft with our first two picks intact :thumbsu:

Rachele seemed to take it in stride. Good on him. It wouldn't be at all surprising if others watching from afar were more perturbed.

    Draper and cohort concerned

By "the minute that happened... the momentum shifted" I assume what you mean is that it was immediately followed by a Fogarty goal, then a Thilthorpe goal, while we kept Port goalless for the rest of the quarter into halftime, and then also kept them goalless until halfway through the third...

    Draper and cohort concerned

The likes of Kerley, Hafey and Parkin would either have to adapt to modern sensibilities, or would get chewed up and spat out in today's game. Also, it's not soft to not simply sit back and accept being humiliated and embarrassed for no good reason.

    Draper and cohort concerned

Extremely not ideal. And it's hard to blame the kid and the people around him, to be honest. It was an embarrassing spectacle from our club and if I was a talented youth, I would be concerned as well. This should be a wake-up call to the club, but it won't be.
