Points system is an interesting one. A lot of conflicting feedback from the leagues where it currently operates. Might be worth a trial, but you would think that it would need to be looked at in all of our local leagues to get a fair assessment. If it did nothing else other than encourage clubs...

Might have to challenge you on that statement TP, I am pretty sure that Stanhope come into the league in 1995? Since then they have only missed 4 finals series, the same as Lancaster in that period. Accept that Stanhope has won more flags, but purely on consistency in making finals no difference.
