I think you are defending Hurley a little to aggressively there. The posters he got were from tight angles so it is not as though he was unlucky to miss them. And the goal he did kick was on the end of some good play from Crameri (more the case of Crameri doing well than Hurley in that instance.
Don't know much about him at all. But I know someone from Sandy Dragons who is in the Vic Metro squad and I asked about Joe and was told that he can be a bit soft and that he doesn't like the physical stuff.
I don't mean anything by posting this other than to let you know what I heard
While I agree he should avoid trying to be the lead up option, sometimes we get caught out b/cos all of our players get sucked up into the press and we are left with no one forward, so someone has to present
look at who's on top of the ladder.
the aim of the game is to win as many games as you can, not have one of your forwards on top of the goalkicking list
Dean Putt was the other notable from the draft i think (went on to richmond but not sure whats up with him currently)
McEvoy dominated games from the forward line in u18 hence he was rated higher, but you're right T-Bell beat him today
This. He has such a massive leap, yet he can never time it right. This is especially damaging if he is in defence as he leaves his opponent to fly at the contest, misses it and leaves the opposition with +1 at the drop of the ball
Am I the only one seriously concerned with Colyer's kicking? To me he seems to suffer from the same curse as Wojo and Harbrow in that he runs too fast to be able to kick accurately
In emma quayle's article both her and his coach reckoned he can move into the middle
and atley was meant to go at 8? shows that draft predictions are just that..... predictions....
thats good in the sense that he kicked 11 goal in 2 games. but then only managed another 11 across 6 more...

Re: Selecting a ruckmen at pick 8
whenever anybody questions the club, the list, our future or the way we do business.
this should be the answer. everyone should just reply this
Its not an Essendon sledge, its just a sledge. Actually, its not even a sledge, it an opinion.
Their team of choice is irrelevant, they are stating what they believe to be true. You are the one who is highlighting and bringing Essendon into the discussion.
