No, it’s an inaccurate term. ‘Interstate’ depends on where you are. So using it - when you really mean non-Victorian - shows you are looking at things from a Victorian perspective. Language is important. Don’t get sucked in to vAFL-speak.

I’m not so sure. A very very easy draw so far. Percentage is about 11th. It wouldn’t surprise me if they didn’t make top six (or at a pinch, the eight). As you suggest a fairly even group meaning a just a few losses and they could drop several spots.

If you list all the teams alphabetically Fremantle are always, always, before West Coast. It's a stat that we simply can't deny - alphabetically they are better than us.

OTC was a reasonably watchable program that has deteriorated. And if it is 'national' why do they only feature Vic players? (Same old same old.) I watch First Crack more than OTC now - and given it comes after the conclusion of the round (and we have many late Sun games) it means the analysis...

It’s well known that you only get homesick after east to west flights not west to east. It’s because east to west is far far far further than west to east flights - and especially if you’re in business class.
