Hey Terry, how are you going? I see you bobbed up on the KDFL thread. Your helping out Mooroopna right? How is that going?
I went and watched the Tigers get mauled by Carlton the other week not good mate. That beer is still in the fridge....

Sorry for all the links. It does seem to be continuing which is great for Timor.
If anyone else has been involved in footy in Timor it would be great to hear from you...
Looks like Aussie Rules footy is kicking goals here.

Bodzy, I believe in that game (round 1) Brendan Hamill was awarded the 2 votes, correct me if I am wrong, I wasn't in attendance on the night. Brendan is Longwoods most courageous player by a mile, head over the footy, backs back/ flys back into packs and takes marks, real courageous stuff, and...
Bodzy, bad luck on the weekend mate.
Carrott, simply put Ardmona were the better side on the day. To be quite honest I was very dissapointed with our game. Not going into detail on this forum. I hope that each player hurts as much as those that put in the effort, and with 4 games remaining...
Longwood vs Ardmona (1pt)
Violet Town vs. Stanhope (9pts)
Fair go Bodzy, We beat them last time mate and over at their deck. Agree it should be close, best team on the day will win.
After seeing your nutritional intake of lunch today, I would now be leaning towards Stanhope very...
1 thing I did forget to mention; I was hoping the scores at half time were a little closer with the game plan, not 10 goals to nil. We ended up having 7 inside 50's in the last with the strong breeze but couldn't capatilise.
Something hopefully to take into next week.
I apologise gents for not replying earlier, busy with work.
Firstly, I appreciate the positive comments. About the game, with everything, it all looks good in theory, however when put into practice didn't quite come off. The Undera machine and I say that as it was very workmanlike...
Sorry gents for the long reply;
Lancaster played at Longwood last Saturday, the reserves were very short, and a few doubled up.
I was really disappointed with Longwood, the reserves umpire was late (longwood supplied), and the Lancaster kids had to do the scoreboard.
I thought the crowd was...
Think we've got Tally next week, so a reasonable chance to restore some pride.[/quote]
Well, we (Longwood) are coming up to Rushworth on Saturday, hope someone is going to be home....
Hi, just seen this in the Australian Army Newspaper, dated 13 May 2010 on page 33.
The ISF Kangaroos V Dili Crocidiles played at Democracy Field on ANZAC day.

Longwoods ground won't be the best around. Murch and Tally from what I have seen and heard are the benchmarks.
We had a bit of rain which has helped, lengthened the ground a couple of metres during pre-season, it will play o.k.
Some aussie rules happening in SE Asia.
Aussie Rules, 2010 ANZAC Weekend, Vung Tau, Vietnam
The Vietnam Swans Australian Rules Football Club has announced details of their inaugural ANZAC Match which will be played at the Vung Tau (near Saigon and Long Tan) Greyhound Racing Track, Vietnam, at...
Spoke with Luke today, the game looks like it's getting bigger and bigger. Something very worthwhile in aplace that needs something positive.
I believe ARMY V Timor CROCS on ANZAC DAY. Should be some good publicity there. I should send you and Luke the footy dvd. Worth watching.
Cheers mate.
I was hoping someone could help me out with Luke Laycock from the NTFA. I'm not sure which club he is from, he played in a practice match last Thursday for my team near Puckapunyal, Vic, and impressed with his skills on the HFF. I just haven't seen enough of him.
Any further info much...
Richoagain, I think I fixed the problem with PM. Thanks for the e-mail address. Are you involved with footy in SE Asia? or previously had a trip there?
Cheers
John, I am still trying to decipher (Catch you up at training Tuesday mate) however; after reading earlier posts and there's quite a few, I would like to extend the invitation for any bigfooty blogger who has a question or rumour, ineundo or a fact in issue re: Longwood FNC, that I will...
Thanks Cletus Delroy, your hospitality was much appreciated. Escpecially the cold ones and bbq after the match:)
It's bit of a treasure playing on good playing surfaces like Murch, how are the other clubs grounds coming up?
Re: Farrer League
Jumback42, I think your spot on, Sparks will have the boys even hungrier this year with the premiers advancing to the RFL.
Any word on the Charity Shield game? hopefully CAK made ammends for our dissapointing Draw/Defeat to GGGM.
Anyway how are all clubs grounds looking at this time of year?
After having a practice match at Murchison last night, their ground looked to be in very good condition.:thumbsu: That was until it got dark.:)
Longwood's ground has improved with recent rain, but won't be one of the best in the...
Richoagain, thanks mate, :thumbsu:had a look at the articles and it's fantastic to see it got off the ground as is continuing to develop.
When I get a chance I will post the game we played in Sep 07.
I look forward to speaking with Luke.
These might interest anyone connected with East...
I heard recently, that there is now a couple of organised footy teams in East Timor. I was hoping if anyone could provide more information.
I recently served there in 2007, for 6 months with the Army and with the help of a couple of very good VICPOL officers working for UNPOL organised weekly...
