Re: Murray Football League (Part 5)
Nearing the halfway mark of the year anyone like to make some predictions for end of the year? Here's mine to kick things off:
Premiers: Cobram
Runners up: Numurkah
League medal: Matt Dwyer
Goal Kicker: Rob Osbourne
Rising Star: one of the Buzza boys
heard the other day both richardson boys from waaia (sam and joe) have moved on. could possibly be due to a dust up the other night with a former waaia player.
anyone heard what top age players from this year are up to next year? are blokes hanging around for senior footy or moving into shep for 18s or moving clubs all together?
yeh mate he's good his ruck work has realy improved. needs to work on his work rate a bit but that will come. he will be a big name in the future for the kats.
bit unfair to the katy and tunga guys not even getting a look in for the moama carnival, the team would only be stronger with the likes of clurey, jones, hayes and ford playing. Adam Hickey from katandra wont be playing due to a shoulder injury.
mate thats jus what i reckon. if your such an expert why dont you have a go at it buddy. we'll see at the end of the year ey. its jus a guess mate. why dont you have a go an let people see what you think..
anybody wanna have a guess at how the ladder will end at the end of the year? for their teams conference. also have a crack at guessing premier, runner up, the league medalist, goal kicker & rising star. I'll have a go now for the south east:
Ladder:
Katandra
Tungamah
Katamatite
Shepp East...
North West Premier: Strathmerton
North West Runner Up: Deni
South East Premier: Katandra
South East Runner Up: Tungamah
All the best for teams this year:thumbsu:
Re: Picola District Football League, general thread mk II.
i know robs wife an i've asked her if there is any truth to it and she said none what so ever the both of them are going to have a year off. Apparently rob said this to his brother tom jus spinning a bit of crap and its taken off from...
but more likely than not in league b&f's a player in the winning team will get the 3 votes. if he still stands out in his team he'll probably poll in the 1 or 2's but usually a player in the winnig team will get the 3. jake thurstons will be one to watch this year. is keeping very fit over the...
thats the biggest load of sh** mate, it was a punch, clearly everyone saw it an that is why he was reported. even if steve does give a bit of lip on the ground, in a prelim final you should jus cop it an move on and not risk getting rubbed out for the following week.
he can still play the game mate, at least he isnt dirty, theres nothing wrong with a bit of lip out on the field. Steve is a great bloke and doesnt go out of his way to hit someone like what happened to him.
hey guys im from the murray region and i've seen riley play a few times and he would definitely be a very handy pick. he usually plays down back, has good speed and is very agile for a tall fella. is thin but it suits the way that he plays. i've also seen him play forward and has good pace on...
does anyone know if herby has gone up to the tribuneral for his report against katandra in the prelim final? i heard that he still hasnt gone up for it.
I think thats exactly right. the sum that i heard was 1400 a game but not sure how true that is. no offence to herby but a club could get a very very good quality player for that amount of money. i hope herby does well next year and that he does kick a few goals for numurkah.
