Roos has repeatedly praised Wagner's decision making and footskills. I even heard Buckley say the same thing in his presser.
What am I missing? I think he has been ok but he like Tmac, frost can be shaky kicks
I really hope he makes it. Hoping it was his first game but early he looked slow. As the game wore on, As everyone slowed down, He looked better. Is that a concern? Don't know but if trenners can come back to his best, he would be only behind viney
Atm Petracca is the almost man. He takes a great contested mark and kicks it to disadvantage. Gets into good spots and misses the goal. Hopefully he'll iron those out with more games and he'll be a hell of a player.
In: Pedersen, Ben ken.
Out: omac, harmes.
Ben ken is a far superior player then harmes. U can argue harmes and Kent but harmes is a bad kick for goal and doesn't have Kent's speed.
Dunn is not the answer so maybe Pedersen? Grimes?
Needs to be a better kick. Runs hard and bombs it to a 30/70 contest. Rarely to advantage.
Brad hill worked hard on his kicking so it can be done. I see him playing the same role.
Harmes is a good mark but AVB is bigger and can take a legit kpp style contested mark. ppl drool about big bodied mids who can push forward ala petracca, brayshaw, Oliver. AVB is every bit part of that group. Obv not in the same class but will be damaging when let loose.
Tmac plays a lot better with Dunn.
Garland gets nervous and you can tell that he is mumbling, don't stuff this up, don't stuff this up.
Garland plays with zero confidence and teammates feel it
Talent wise he is up with petracca, Oliver, brayshaw but never gets spoken about in those terms. He needs to get his tank up n get more involved. Good things happen when he's around the ball. Underachieving atm
Good. Viney. Never stopped.
Bad. Bernards bump. Very careless.
Ugly. Cloin garland. Teammates don't trust him to win contests. You can't spread hard knowing u have to do 180 and run the other way.
Rd 1:
FB: Jetta Tmac Garland
HB: Salem Dunn Bugg
C: Vince Jones VBerg
HF: Watts Hogan Frost
F: Kent Pedo Garlett
R: Gawn Viney Tyson
Int: Oliver Harmes BKennedy MJones
All 4 of Oliver, Harmes, BKennedy, MJones have done enough for rd1 in my opinion.
Petracca, Brayshaw, Harry O, Trengove...
And then trade him for pick 167 ala Cale Morton.
And still get posters who will still whinge, Morton for another year > Pick 167.
Toump tried hard but his disposals weren't damaging, wasn't quick and wasn't strong.
We should've got more for Howe but he packed his bags a while ago and I have...
Apart from Jesse Hogan who is once a generation player, they all can still go either way like the 2010 class.
NJones. 23yo established mid.
Scully. Posters were creaming themselves after 39 v doggies.
Trengove. Most promising until captaincy/injury.
Gysbert. Ball Magnet who should get better...
pretty much in a nut shell.
Doesn't have any hurt factor.
When you look at young players, you look for them to be calm and make good decisions under pressure. Execution with simple things.
Angus does this with flying colours.
Toump fumbles and makes terrible decisions. Even simple things...
Stringer is just a smaller version of Jesse Hogan.
Both very good contested, strong and strut.
Jesse does the simple things well and makes good decisions. Same with Angus and Salem. Very excited by these 3.
As for Stringer. Could've had them both. Hogan and mini Hogan.
Toumpas 4, Stringer 5...
yep.
Our best way to win is to lure the opposition into a false sense of security and catch teams out.
It's like when you give the special kid a head start and then you realise you can't make up the ground. MFC style.
Fugly:
That was disgusting what MFc put up.
Grimes has looked as physically weak since day one. Could not break any tackles.
Dom Tyson's game and footskills has dropped off the map.
Chris Dawes should be paid as an assistant. Contribute the same.
Harry takes on the opposition, gets pressured...
Paul Roos: You couldn't even give me one lousy good game, Dawes. You will always be a loser. Now take your check for a hundred thousand dollars and get out of my sight.
Chris Dawes: I don't need your stinking money! [carefully folds the check and puts it in his pocket]
