Nobody got hurt but that sort of comment dates back to the late 80's. Its part of the reason that good players are hard to recruit and that the standard of footy has dropped away so badly in the last 5 years. Umpires still need to be in control of the game and they weren't at that stage.

Agree doggies were very sharp yesterday, moved the ball well and quickly. Were well served by their regular contributors in King, Green and Holmes. Monty very lacklustre might take a little time for the new players to gel.... we'll have to wait and see!!

I think Jenkins is signed already but the saints could be in big trouble: no young blokes coming through, losing some handy players and no big recruits on the horizon. Definitely need a couple of big blokes and a quality forward!!

I think there may be a couple of guys from west coburg heading down there. They will be very handy players at that level.

It must be hard as a coach to ask your players to get the hard ball when you refuse to do it yourself.... He won't add much to Keilor's playing stocks they would be better off giving a young kid a run. In saying that I don't think anyone at Avondale gave a sh@t if he left and they haven't...
