I never said they'd win. But they are least would have taken the game more seriously. I can't help but think that the dogs thought they'd have it in the bag. But it wasn't a repeat of 2016. They didn't have an extra 3 players on the field
Melbourne were always winning this though
It's gonna be a great game.
Melbourne going for their first premiership in like 150 million years or something.
Bulldogs with the AFL's match fixing department on their side.
Heart says Melbourne. Head says Bulldogs.
I'd call that cheating but that doesn't do it justice. That was so blatant that a proper investigation would lead to gaol time for the umpires and AFL officials.
Good luck Port and Melbourne because it looks like the AFL have bet on dogs to win the grand final and they will make that happen.
Given the AFL have refused to play games in places not in a lockdown whilst playing games in places that are in lockdown I fully expect us to be playing Bulldogs in Ballarat next week.
As do throws but the umpires barely call those either. It's pretty clear they only use "Potential to cause injury" when they want to help out specific teams
We were definitely the worst side out there but happy for the win.
We were just lucky that we were playing the strikers instead of a good side. Lets not forget the strikers had us 7 wickets down in our first meeting at the gabba and still almost lost the game.
Hoping we play a lot better...
Against this bowling lineup Lynn could have a field day hence the range. It's likely gonna be closer to 50 though as I don't see Lynn surviving long tbh.
Strikers will likely get an early wicket as Heazlett has been pretty terrible this season. If they get lynn too they'll be confident. But this total is basically a run a ball. Can't see labs and pierson failing here. Strikers are definitely 50 - 80 runs short. Will be an easy chase for us.
Might be just overly pessimistic right now but I'd rather Brisbane play 14 games out of QLD. That way I don't have to see them lose live. We are tied with the Thunder in least amount of finals made in BBL history. Although thunder are going to make it this year leaving Brisbane standalone last.
Yeah I'd say that's the likely outcome. I'd put Adelaide in the mix depending on where they finish. If they grab 3rd they'd have a good chance. Thunder have been too hit and miss so I'd say they only have a minor chance. Went from a record score to not even being able to chase 150. Adelaide...
Nah. I'm pro Brisbane. Couldn't give a crap about the other teams unless there is advantage to us. Thunder winning would have basically confirmed Heat making it into the finals. Now we have to beat the Scorchers to even have a chance. Not gonna happen
Oh I don't expect anything to change. Like the AFL they'll only care about crowd numbers and maximising revenue over fairness.
The lack of travel though has been a big advantage. You'd hope Adelaide make the most of it as they won't get this advantage again.
I don't know if it was mentioned earlier but I really hope next season Adelaide are forced to play the majority of their games away from Adelaide. Think it's ridiculous this home game for the Thunder was played at Adelaide. Covid or not no other team gets to play 9/14 games in a season at their...
I think it depends on how the game is going. But I think the better lineup would have Labs/Denly at 3-4. Then Burns and Gregory. Gregory can be promoted up the order if we need a pinch hitter.
I think whats clear is we've really missed Tom Banton this year. He was excellent at the top of the...
I don't know why the heat substituted Morkel for Bryant. Bryant would only be in the side to slog and he's not even doing it.
If he doesn't open then he shouldn't be in the team.
