Need not go any further than this just yet. Deadset lucky today to get away with 3 valuable points and still no guarantee to qualify just yet.....the group is tightly poised and they have Barca up next at the Camp Nou.
Had Inter drawn the game today (which was a very fair result), I would...
Oh yeah... I'm simply pissing myself over here. Champagne comedy.
Having said that, was happy with Milan's performance this morning. In all seriousness, we should have won given Pato scored a great goal which was disallowed. The ref squaring up for the terrible penalty we received...
This thread is a ****ing shitfight of epic proportions.
Thing is, I didn't realise we still had so many pathetic bogans in this country still shit scared of the world game becoming something significant in this country.
The World Cup is of massive significance and the interest in it would...
Chelsea may play beautiful, glorious football (along with Arsenal) and they are pretty effective and potent.....
yet.... Man Utd will no doubt bend them all over and ream them once more come seasons end.
and Fergie will piss himself....for the 1554th time...
Laughable isn't it!?
I mean....what a bunch of ****ing idiots they all are for loading up on this alcopop team smashing them 4-0 in a match so irrelevant, I wouldn't piss on it.
Copa Del Rey isn't it? Might as well be the Ansett cup. Well played Pellegrini and co, drinks on you for the next...
Sneijder is a good player but he won't give creativity in the form that Inter need. Not by himself anyway.....they are just too predictable and in the past purely relied on Ibrahimovic to score and/or create. Hence they would simply look for him instead of creating any worthwhile passages of...
No.....he won't.
The way they travel in Europe, Inter will be lucky to qualify for the group stages. Absolutely no threat. With that squad (solid yet lacking creativity) they simply won't cut it.
Serie A they will win at a canter. That's what their style of squad suits.
Guess you have a rather low opinion of what constitutes a masterstroke.
I wouldn't say the opposition imploding makes it such.
Rafa B is up shit creek. Writing was on the wall when Xabi left.
Who gives a shit right now?!?!
Milan turned back the clock this morning! Sensational 2nd half. :thumbsu::)
For once this season the team came out after the break motivated and wanting a contest. Fantastic strike by Pirlo fired them up and they turned the heat up on a Madrid side that was...
I'll be the first to admit the club overrate our list when it comes to trade week and it makes things ten times harder when trying to attract a player. They don't help themselves at all.....I suppose they are banking on our young kids all generally becoming solid-great players over the journey...
Very well said.
That is the biggest problem with the AFL. Spin it whichever way you like....for a professional sporting competition it does a good job in promoting amateur hour when it comes to certain clubs constantly living off drips, promoting tanking during the season to obtain quality...
Definetly liking those 2 line-ups. :thumbsu:
2 things I want are Didak playing a permanent HF role and Thomas playing a more permanent midfield role with stints up forward. Thomas has more talent to play midfield and Didak is far more dangerous nearer to goal.
The core midfield group to be -...
the first 6 are certainly midfielders. Aren't they?
Hodge does play the Half Back role but he's definetly a star midfielder when you need him to be. In fact I'd be playing him there constantly if Ellis can play Half Back.
As for the Collingwood fan starting this thread.....well yeah it seems...
Regarding Thomas' footskills, from what I've seen it seems that his skills let him down when he's been running flat out then passing the ball. Almost as if he's too stuffed to deliver the ball after busting a gut. Just an observation, although it is fair to say his skills right now are not quite...
It depends alot on how Mick decides to play Thomas. If he gets his fitness and strength to where they need to be, he should be playing full time midfield with the occasional stint up forward. While he might not reach lofty heights of 40 odd possies, I'm sure he could be collecting 25-30 odd...
Leg speed is ridiculously overrated.
It's handy to have....given....but ball speed with clean use is what makes a team tick and that's why Geelong have been the benchmark mainly for 3 seasons.
They have one guy in the team with genuine leg speed and that's Wojo. Ablett is quick enough but...
With a relatively healthy list and proper pre-season, I think Hawthorn will finish top 4 and have a genuine crack at the premiership.
Everyone is understating just how bad their injury situation was for the majority of the season, the writing was on the wall before the season started. You...
Indeed....I felt the same. On a shocking night for the club, Dale Thomas was a shining light and that particular bit of play emphasised his potential. He did it on another occasion too but was run down that particular time. Given Geelong were smashing us in the middle all night, Dale's work...
Dale Thomas has his name written all over this thread.
A huge amount of talent and a workrate that is increasing every game he plays....I'm expecting him to start tearing games apart in the midfield next season.
The pressure is on because he has to justify the hype but I'm confident he...
Maybe to start with you might want to get your facts right.
Rusling kicked 3 goals against Sydney in the EF in 2007. Against WCE he was well held, didn't kick one. Against Geelong in the PF, he kicked 2 goals. Leading into the finals IIRC he kicked 4 in rnd 21 or 22....can't exactly remember...
Ball on his own is not the difference but think of the impact he'd have in our midfield for players like Swan and Pendlebury.....in terms of winning the ball....
Pendlebury is improving rapidly for his age but he is different to Ball. We have no player that dives in and wins the hardball and...
tend to agree but, for mine, the more pressing issues have been the ruck situation and lacking a strong, inside ball winner.
Our key forwards are a slight issue (actually Cloke is THE issue, given he can't kick anywhere near enough goals) but its possible Sean Rusling may finally get back...
