    Preview R20: Changes vs. Hawthorn

I think I’m done, cya guys, has been enjoyable for 15 years but getting quite sick and tired of the toxic nature of this board. Impossible to have any sort of reasonable debate without people trying to point score. Might be back later, but doubt it.

I said I would still pick him as his form has been good, but if you actually read what I wrote, you would understand I’m not going to delve into conspiracy theories if he doesn’t.

There it is again, seeing things in black and white and dealing in hypotheticals that are impossible to prove, BigFooty posting 101

    Preview R20: Changes vs. Hawthorn

That’s just complete crap though. I know people don’t like listening to Nicks anymore, but he talks about Curtin and his development almost every single mid week presser. I’ve only ever heard praise of his weapons (ball use) or things they are helping him to improve (off the ball work). He...

    Preview R20: Changes vs. Hawthorn

Davis got offered 800k as a 21 year old from a new franchise, that’s got nothing to do with how many games he plays as an 18 or 19 year old. I enjoy posting on this forum, but we also aren’t the most rational bunch of people and tend to see things in very black or white terms, when in reality...

    Preview R20: Changes vs. Hawthorn

wtf are you on about? He’s the same height as Butts and Murray and on par with pretty much most KP heights. His main position was KPD, but he also had good games as a mid, it’s not surprising to see him trialed for extended periods in both positions to workout his best position long term.

    Preview R20: Changes vs. Hawthorn

I remember back in the early days of joining this board that there would be many of these same reactions if Craigy didn’t play Tex. Tex has said many times that those early lessons under Craigy were very important in his development, which I’m sure is the type of advise he would give young...

    Preview R20: Changes vs. Hawthorn

Or, wait for it, he’s a 197cm player that will be a slower burn than others? It’s nothing earth shattering or requiring conspiracy theories. He’s been voted our best afl listed player two weeks in a row by the coaches, so they’re clearly happy with what they are seeing in a new role. His work...

    Preview R20: Changes vs. Hawthorn

Not sure, him not coming in this week would be very confusing after polling the most coaches votes for two weeks straight in the SANFL and being an emergency last week.

He works with Ingram at 9, same source. Timeline of all of this is weird.

    Preview R20: Changes vs. Hawthorn

Tom Rehn going with it too, but he works with Ingram at Channel 9 so they're obviously just getting fed the same info. Haven't seen anyone else go with it outside of Channel 9. Who could their source be? It definitely goes against what we saw at match sim yesterday and what Nicks said in his...

    Preview R20: Changes vs. Hawthorn

Ingram thought Pedlar was out for the season too before the club had assessed his scan results and then he only missed 2 weeks. Gonna hold fire for now, our last extended squad the first 4 named all played, with the sub coming from those last 4. Nicks was very high in praise for Curtin in the...

Autopsy AFL 2024 Round 20 - Crows v Hawks Sun July 28th 4:10pm AEST (AO)

Probably should have said better balanced, but yes agree can't be the strongest when missing our two best players and 3 best defenders (although Worrell might play this week).

    Preview R20: Changes vs. Hawthorn

For the last Sunday game the first 4 on our extended bench all started, with Taylor the 8th listed on there and starting as sub. Would think that means Smith, Curtin, Worrell and Rachele are all playing, and then it comes down to Taylor or Cook. Given Cook started as sub last week and didn't do...

Hugh Bond named in the centre is interesting, maybe a tagging role on Day?

I'm glad Carlton weren't. Your doctor being busy elsewhere isn't an excuse to leave a player out there for 7 minutes after a head knock.

Taylor also played B team and I very highly doubt he is heading out, could have just been a numbers issue given a few injuries this week

Autopsy AFL 2024 Round 20 - Crows v Hawks Sun July 28th 4:10pm AEST (AO)

Curtin appears to be coming in for Dawson this week and will play midfield. Has been playing as a full time mid the last 3 weeks in the sanfl and was voted 2nd best player on the ground by the coaches last week. Likely Borlase for Butts (maybe Worrell, but could see them being cautious and...

That’s fairly standard on this board, Curtin coming in was the most obvious selection since coaches votes came out for our North win

Rumour 2024 Rumours and Speculation (Rumours total 25, last 28th August)

This poor development stuff is getting a bit old. RT, Fog, Murray, Worrell, Butts and even Borlase have all developed nicely as KP players on our list. On top of that, Tex has worked very closely with RT and Fog and would have already been working with Welsh this year too, can't get a better...
