Been looking at versions of 2 mid rookies aswell.
For me its something like,
3 mid rooks - Duggan-Taranto-Ashcroft (means missing out of both Doch/Peatling to start season) but have all of Jagga, Ashcroft, Smillie, Lindsay, Draper and Langford.
or
2 mid rooks - Farrell-Doch-Peatling (Means...
Yeah my point being that will be one of everyones stronger weeks so unless the bye player is a big stand out example (Heeney last year) then its not really worth it as the player replacing him most like wont count or will add 5-20 points at best.
Him going 110 for the year is basically him...
Like i said in my other post, the replacement score for Green is highly likely to be in the bottom 4 scores as for example Jagga, Ashcroft, Travaglia and say Langford or Hewett should be the bottom 4 scores in theory so in a best 18 week i dont see replacement players going higher than all 4-5...
The thing is the players coming onto the field for the bye players most likely wont count though. They're most likely in the bottom 4 scores so you're not really getting a replacement score in theory.
If you were to say go Tom Green and he goes 110 for the year, him missing a game means in...
I do wonder if its worth starting 3 on that bye for the Mills, Roberts and Coleman combo and just taking a 0 and go with 21 that week, one of the 50's probably drops out anyway, while you have the 15+ points upside per week over someone with 5-10 max.
Not saying ill do it but could be worth the...
Day i think you don't start considering the bye and there's the same upside from others without the bye.
Windsor at 600k needs to hit atleast 85 you'd say to match Cumming or Peatling.
I don't see a world where you run any less than 3 mid rooks onfield this season, this year has so many good mid rooks and there's 6 that stand out and i wouldn't want to miss any of the cash gen on the bench either.
But obviously means missing out on 1-2 value mids. I currently don't have Doch...
Yeah cant do much till we see it in preseason and even then it's not a given.
Was leaning towards 3 already. But yeah it means fielding 2 rook defenders and only 2 rook mids, which im a little worried about but means i can get the value in the mids where as i don't see it in the defenders apart...
Have 4 variations of 3 different player combos onfield, 1 from backline, mid and ruck. What order would you go?
farrell-langford-dekoning 155k left
hawli-petracca-dekoning 36k left
hawli-peatling-marshall 24k left
burton-langford-marshall 2k left
Team after a few days of chopping and changing. Pretty happy with it, probably 5-6 players that are interchangeable.
But i see value in every spot bar the rucks, JHF and maybe Sinclair.
Wish i could fit Taranto and Rozee in also but only way of doing that is to downgrade JHF or Sinclair to a...
Tempted to just field both Travaglia and Saad El-Hawli and get another premo mid with more upside than Sinclair as the backline is just full of unknowns.
You have 3 defenders on the same bye btw :p. Prob can only go 2 max to get cover from your bench unless your util has DEF position and even then still risky.
Sheezel, JHF and Langford (3 rook mids and 1 rook fwd)
or
Sinclair, Rozee and Curtin (2 rook mids and 2 rook fwd)
Sheezel is probably 5-8 points on Sinclair, Rozee is 10-17 points on JHF, So second is ahead but Curtin could be anything, Langford if he plays surely scores more...
Do we even add the rooks score of a 50-60 if its replacing say a premo on there bye like T Green or Whitfield? Cause its most likely to drop out anyway for example with the likes of J Smith, Ashcroft, Langford, Draper, Travaglia and Hewett being higher and thats already 5.
Just doing some math...
I said this last year but if you were to say go Mills/Roberts and they both go 15 over there average and your bench player on there byes goes 50, you're still losing points to someone who goes 10 points over, is it really worth it?
Roberts/Mills (priced at 75) go 90 avg each, thats 360 in 2...
