Agree with most of that.
Both sides - all sides - waste time hoping to avoid that extra over before the end of a session. ICC/BCCI just lets it happen. Then the commentators moan that we don't get anywhere near 90 overs a day any more. We, the paying public, are the ones that suffer. They...
Government commissioned independent report finds the proposed Macquarie Point stadium is showing “hallmarks of mismanagement” on several fronts.
In particular the cost to the Tasmanian Government is estimated to be more than double the $375m they said they would limit their spending to...
“Low picks” is always ambiguous to my mind.
To me it means low value - ie picks in the third or fourth round. Or even later.
But it could also mean a first round pick to other people (as Stefoid obviously intended above). “Low” in that sense means a low pick number (eg 1-10) not a low value...
News Corp and Telstra may be selling their stake in Foxtel. Yet to be approved by the regulator but seems likely to go through in the next 12 months.

With Murdoch and News having only...
We have to remember that ten years ago not many thought there was much of a market for it. Melbourne and the Western Bulldogs were doing the unfashionable thing that few wanted to be involved in. In our case we had one or two movers and shakers (like Susan Alberti) who made it happen. Only...
Reckon he'd kick it 60 metres off one step.
Pleased to see that pic with the Doggies jumper. Jasprit's one of my favourite cricketers. All class. He has almost single-handedly propped up the whole Indian side this series. (A bit like Head for Australia)
Not an eyewitness myself but the names Jaques and Davidson have come up on this board over the last few days. Also there was an earlier report that Luke Kennedy had impressed coaching staff, especially with his ability to kick well with either foot.
TIME CAPSULE RE-OPENED!
OK as we prepare to put season 2024 out with the torn up Christmas wrapping paper, the terrible jokes from the bon-bons, the recycling bin full of empty champagne bottles and beer cans and the screwed up wall posters of Bailey Smith in a Bulldogs jumper … it’s also time...
I'm not sure how I missed this. It's the most incisive piece of footy analysis published all year and because it's a bit interactive it's something that can keep you all engaged over the footy-free break between now and mid-January.
It has important ramifications for our list management too...
Which previously uncapped player (at any AFL club) will play the most games for the WB in 2025? (NB: M Kennedy is not eligible)
Coffield
Dogs_r_barking you might want to edit this one. Coffield has played senior footy before (for us and Saints) so he's not eligible.
Maybe I didn't phrase...
I don't think a long contract means all that much any more. Yes it gives the player some security but not the club. If the player changes his mind or gets a better offer along the way he just asks for a trade, contract or no contract. Nine times out of ten the trade gets done and everybody...
