We really need to try and get Jed Adcock. If we can get him, along with Talia (would prefer Astbury but will be harder to get) and Sinclair, then I'd say we've had a pretty successful trade period.
If this goes through, I will stop watching this 'sport' run by the corrupt organisation known as the 'AFL'. Fukn filthy about this and it makes our trade ban look even worse. How about the other inequalities in the competition? Like, I dunno, Hawthorn getting to play the grand final EVERY YEAR...
I'd be going (provided everyone else is fit),
In: Smith, Bird, Rose
Out: Reid, McGlynn, BJack
I think where we can win the game on the weekend is by beating North on the inside, and by having fast, lively marking targets up forward. North have some very good inside, contested ball-winners in...
1. I don't really agree that the effort was lacking. Missed the first quarter, but in the second and third quarter our effort was there and we matched Hawthorn in everything but efficiency. Constant inside 50s for nothing but minor scores. What did Hawthorn have, something like 10 inside 50s at...
I agree. Gillon is a fraud and is basically saying, 'first year, we will prevent them from trading in any players so that they can't get Frawley/Patfull/Insert random player; next year, we will allow them to trade as a show of good faith:rolleyes: while simultaneously preventing them from...
after the initial 'wtf?' reaction, I am actually feeling pretty excited by this pick. We seem to be pretty keen on him and he seems to have a good head on his shoulders. If we can have our own Breust or Gunston, it would make a hell of a difference to the side as I think it's one of the main...
I'm not too familiar with the Academy members. Besides Callum Mills, does anyone know whether, at this stage, there are any other players draft-worthy next year?
Jetta's beep test is an embarrassment. I mean, I've seen fat kids at school achieve similar results. Either he was having a laugh or we can expect him to come back to pre-season in similar shape to Shannon Cox...
Haha sorry mate, but this would have to be one of the stupidest posts I have ever read on bigfooty and that's saying something! Why don't our players get injured, just for the sake of it ey?
I don't see what the big issue is with selecting Hiscox with our second round pick. We got that pick back with the compensation for Malceski and then upgraded it with Biggs. Unless you're thinking we could have packaged those two picks together and got a pick in say the 20s? But who is to say...
No, we just had one of the most successful home and away seasons in our history. We were just beaten on the day. A lot of people are overreacting, you can always improve but our list is fine as it is.
Obviously we perform our best at the SCG when teams have to travel and we're playing at our home ground. But I don't think that would have mattered today, Hawthorn were too good today and would have beaten us no matter where the game was played.
I watched the game in my dorm in China haha. I think the thing that found us out today was a few of the players were too inexperienced and didn't handle the occasion. Players like Rohan, Lloyd and Cunningham have never played in a game like this but I'm sure they will handle the occasion better...
Congrats guys, enjoy! Whilst I hate Hawthorn, you were the better team on the day and really deserved the win. Despite all the shit that gets said on here about COLA etc, we are two fantastic clubs. I look forward to this day next year, and hopefully we will both be back at the big dance.
Some of you guys need to have a long hard look at yourselves. Whilst I'm as disappointed as the next person, our team has given us many years of pleasure and great performances. It was a poor performance today, but we were beaten by a better team on the day. We had a fantastic year and I expect...
I agree that Liberatore looks like he will be a very good player and had a breakout year, however Hannebery generally gets underrated when it comes to these discussions. Liberatore doesn't compare to Hannebery at this stage of their careers. Sewell is a good player but he has never been a gun...
Umm no, no he really didn't. Hannebery got 21 votes in the Brownlow compared to Liberatore's 14, and Hanners also made the AA team. Hanners definitely had the better year.
In no way is Liberatore a better player than Hannebery at this stage. You doggies supporters massively overrate him. Fair enough he has a very good inside game, but he has absolutely no outside game whatsoever!
