Player Watch #?: Jacob Konstanty - Welcome to North Melbourne - traded with L.Parker for Pick 44

Even if it was end Rd 1 or mid Rd 2, could have been used for Daniel, essentially a swop of players, with Danial being in a position of more than need. I still hope CZ can improve and having Darling around might be a catalyst to help that.

I would rather slightly overpay for Daniel than completely and utterly over pay for Houston… and in turn help out Port. Win win.

Player Watch #39: Finnbar 'Moose' Maley

We’d be looking at him as a forward/2nd ruck you’d think. So probably competing with Teakle at this stage. He can also use his leap and hands to take a few contested grabs from kick ins, or those get out kicks take on the wing, that would be a huge win structurally. Xerri was durable this...

Player Watch #?: Luke Parker - Welcome to North Melbourne - Konstanty and Parker traded for Pick 44

If we’re going by the news cycle, does it get done today so there’s content and something to talk about all afternoon and weekend?

Player Watch #17: Riley 'Stiffy' Hardeman - made his debut v Adelaide in Hobart

If his kicking is as average as you say Sheezels is - I think he'll be OK.

Player Watch #?: Luke Parker - Welcome to North Melbourne - Konstanty and Parker traded for Pick 44

Was probably all agreed months ago. They need to stretch some deals out. Can’t have them all agreed and go though on the first day. What will everyone talk about for the rest of the next few week? All carefully stage managed and released to keep the clicks coming and ensure a steady stream of...

Player Watch #?: Luke Parker - Welcome to North Melbourne - Konstanty and Parker traded for Pick 44

After such a promising start, this thread has reverted to BF type. Off topic, opinionated sniping. That fleeting moment where everyone agreed on something positive was a moment to behold!

You really should have your own thread for these. Would Make things easier. It’s tiring go through every player thread to skim the chaff and find the updates your posting.

Really? I hope he loves playing with his mates, trains hard, leads the younger blokes, tackles ruthlessly, performs and makes us a better team that competes and wins finals. Each to their own I suppose.

Don’t think you can death ride your own team. Although, I feel like some posters death ride some nth players just to validate firmly entrenched opinions.

Get players in. Just not with future firsts when we’re going to finish down the bottom of the ladder.

Future first for Houston is WAY too much. Need to keep our first round picks… Unless we know someone is leaving next year that will net us such a pick? Stay the course Nth - keep getting the best young talent. Don’t blink and settle for less because of pressure to perform in the short term...

Preview 2024 National Draft Preview Thread

This. The trades on offer weren’t great. If we knew we could trade down and get Finn Callaghan - perhaps we would have done it. But from 1 down to 6? Too many unknowns and a drop off in quality.

Player Watch #24: Tom Powell - signed thru 2026 - finishes 5th in the 2024 SBM.

I really like Tom as a player. Fact is though, we don’t seem to function well as midfield unit when he’s around the ball and at centre bounces. Needs to get stronger, better defensively and be able to play the system better.

No way. Watching that first 11 weeks was demoralising-broke the and players. First be in games. Then win games.

Autopsy NM v West Coast - the great choke!

Shows how important Sheez is. He goes out of the midfield with his injury we lost our balance and couldn’t compete. If he wasn’t injured and could play his usual game - we win. Can’t believe we rely so much on a teenager. Leaders on notice.
