partly the AFL curtailing our power (i.e. rule changes, poaching of key personnel, umpiring)
but also partly self-immolation (dimma cheating scandal, faiure to adapt to rule changes, appalling inability to replace our key personnel with good operators)
in combination, it has been utterly...
I would rate him the GOAT of consistently elite football
he was a jet from day 1, and as he turns toward game 400, continues to be one
has never been in the convo as the best player in the league at any one time, but I genuinely can't recall a single game where I have thought he has spudded...
I think a big difference between Daicos & Reid is although Daicos is performing more consistently now, the scope for improvement in Reid is much higher
God help us when he reaches 25ish & he is fending of guys younger & smaller than him instead of Trac & Oliver
Imagine if you take the best bits of Dusty (fend-offs, finishing in front of goal, clean in a phone-box, big moments) & Danger (acceleration from stoppages, contested marking, general arrogance) & combined them into one player
Thats this bloke

It is a good result as...
I think there was a directive against our tactics around 2020… now it is subconsciously baked into officiating which is much harder to remedy (unless of course we make some sort of public outcry)

But I think pretty clearly his ambition now lies with Tasmania
We desperately need to fast-track our future
whilst I am not yet convinced on yze, I am even less convinced about RFC's current governance and footy department
the books on our rise was fascinating, the books on our self-immolation might be even more instructive
being honest, other than a bit of reactive emotion, does anyone care?
like I cared when we recruited cousins and looked like we had a contending list, then got smashed by the blues
& I cared when we finished 5th and were defeated by north inexplicably in an EF
but tonight our named 22 is...
