Rumour GFC 2025 Player Trading, Drafting FA, Rumours and Wish lists Pt 1

Well said. Makes me sick seeing how much hero worshipping, as opposed to common sense and club-supporting goes on here at times. No, an individual player doesn’t make that much difference we have to wreck the team to get him in.

Cats top 10 players since 2000

Ottens well in the top ten. Not the best player, but our most important player 2007-11, when considering our premierships. imo

    Autopsy Lions prevail by 10

He has a huge kick, but you are right. He sometimes "aims for" instead of kicking through. Confidence.

    Autopsy Lions prevail by 10

They had their money on Brisbane.

    Autopsy Lions prevail by 10

The first quarter we were so manic, I wondered, "After one game in a month, do we have the conditioning to run like that this early?"

Hawk Tuah……Port and Ken Spit on that thang, post match discussion

I like that Jack Ginnivan posted stuff and PA used it as motivation, and Givinvan cost the Hawks the game.

Review Geelong + Chris Scott make another Prelim at Ports expense

Tried to tell ppl here to not underestimate our win against the WCE. It was massive. Considering we put the cue in the rack by halfway through the 3rd. Anyway, I got $3.10 after Tom went home. Easy money. The other side I'm worried about is South Melbourne. If they find form they will be hard to...

    Preview QF2 Geelong v Port Adelaide Thursday Sept 5 2024 @ AO 7:40 pm

Me too. Got $2.88 at Betfair. Could not resist. The West Coast game could have been 140 points had we not put the cue in the rack. Up until then that was the most intense I have seen any team this season, including the Swans when they were hot.

I’m pretty sure Jezza has cemented himself in the team after that effort.

Preview How do you see the Cats 2024 Finals going?

Since we have to play the other likely finalists, I'd say we could go all the way and it wouldn't surprise. Nothing would surprise me this season. Two weeks ago someone on here was saying Brisbane were deservedly the favorites. Now look at 'em. Rabble. :D;) Sydney, from invincible to...

If we end up stumbling into the GF and play this weeks Swans, we should win by 80 points.:D

Review Rd 21 Cats stone Crows by 5 points

Agree with most of that. I think the Adelaide win was encouraging. The Crows are capable of playing good footy. Beat the Lions Rd 17, and recently took care of the Saints. I think they turned up to play against us, and I think we could improve massively on that performance. Except, like every...

Review Rd 21 Cats stone Crows by 5 points

The best side just got thrashed by over a hundred points today. The formerly second side just got beat by the Colliwobles. This is the most mediocre season I can remember. We are a chance. Weird as that is.

Autopsy Doggies Woof all over Cats by 47 points.

I often come on here after a bad game a blather on about skills (lack of) in our team. Just basic stuff. Not kicking over team-mates heads would be nice. Hyper coached running patterns are nice and all, but in the end, skillz pay the bills. Remember the 2007-11 teams, and how they played in the...

I haven't been this surprised/impressed by a newcomer since Menzel. The skill level.

Toast Round 18 NAB Rising Star 🌟 nomination Lawson Humphries

Touch wood, but Humphries plays like you expect a No. 1 draft pick would play in his second season.

Review Cats triumph by 20 over reigning premiers and put another nail in their season

With or without certain players, thats is the best and most intense I have seen Collingwood play all season, against us last night. They were totally tanked at the end. Put in their injured players and let them play like the rest of the season, and we beat them by 10 goals.

Review Cats triumph by 20 over reigning premiers and put another nail in their season

Atkins work last night, very under-rated. He is a key component in the midfield. Count the number of possessions he gets in heavy congestion no-one else gets. And note Daicos. Never seen that guy under so much pressure.

One of my favorite non-Geelong players. Meaning, I only slightly hate him.

Review Cats triumph by 20 over reigning premiers and put another nail in their season

The midfield is a team within a team. If we are doing better with SDK in it, keep it that way.

Review Cats triumph by 20 over reigning premiers and put another nail in their season

Yep. And its always a possibility. A player has a short career, and managers make more money if their players leave for a big pay day. I've often wondered if there is some under the table bribes to managers.

Review Cats triumph by 20 over reigning premiers and put another nail in their season

The first part is a perfect description of the Stanley/Blicavs years. I gave our midfield kudos for getting any of the ball at all with their ruck work.

Who is Humphries manager? We need to pay him a visit before WCE and Freo do. "You are homesick for WA."..."No I'm not. I love it at Geelong."...."Yes you are! You miss your friends and family. And your wife wants to be back home."......."But I don't have a wife!"....."We can fix that.".....

Review Cats take THE RIVALRY from the Hawks again with 51 point win

Throwing SDK into the ruck against his big brother was a psychological masterstroke. He got smashed, and the coach left him there, getting smashed. Second half and SDK looked angry, and he started getting into the game. Hasn't looked back since. Cannot wait until we face the Blues again.
