Just on sen the afl has brought in a host of new rules for next year with regards to rookie lists and the like. one being that a player can have a year out of the game for whatever reason (Robbie Campbell) and can go straight back on that clubs list without having to go through the draft system...

BM any player taken in the national draft is given a minimum contract of 2 years. Most of those blokes will be contracted for next year.

Unfortunatly rookie and pre-season picks arent up for trade so it will be a ND selection or player for player swap if anything at all.

Nic Nat cant get a kick to save himself. Watts will end up a much better footballer.

Grizz i hear where you are comng from but going by that reasoning we would be better of signing him up at box hill next year (assuming he doesnt get picked up by someone else) to help grimely and lowden develope. I love big bob and if we re-draft him i would be stoked for him and the club as...

I think we would have benefited more from selecting James Frawley. Isnt hindsight a wonderful thing.

Obviously a big next month for the hawks and also Murphy. I think he will take Hill against the doggies Stevie J, Milne and Banfield against the lions. Stopping these blokes may well go along way to us winning these hugely important games and pushing for top 4.

Get your hand of it hawka. Murphy held Motlop goal less 2 weeks after holding Betts goal less. He is not our best player, far from it but he busts a gut week in week out and the crap written on here about him is getting really tiresome.

Interesting thread, had thought about starting something similar myself. There is another way we could go and thats to keep our first pick in the draft for an outside mid, there seems to be plenty of depth in this area of the draft. With stratton we have had success going for a mature aged...
