You would probably be talking about Dingley here, Seniors play at 27 - 29 player points and finish 3rd, Reserves top of the ladder and a strong Under 19's. Credit to the club on their long term thinking!
Check the Player Points mate, 2nd lowest in the comp last week and lowest for most of the season. Clever recruiting is what it’s about but if you like I’ll send our coaches mobile to you and you can tell him how to coach yourself!
Just accept that Dingley tore you a new one mate and move on!
Dingley operate on 28 - 31 player points every week and haven't had a social club for 2 years so this talk of big money being thrown around is crap. Just a very well run, family club operated by a bunch of brilliant volunteers.
Surely it is time to move grounds? Springvale has no atmosphere and the surface isn’t up to standard!
When will Moorabbin be an option or Shepley?
Dingoes back in the action next year, well done to our Premier U’19’s.
Less $$$ than you think!
Furthermore, Dingley won their 3rd flag on the trot with the lowest Player Points Tally than any other club in the SFNL.
Outstanding.
Dingley have lost a couple of good ones, no doubt but have recruited 4 legitimate guns. More importantly, we have plenty of kids coming through that will be pushing for senior selection. Some had a taste last year, in a Premiership Season.
My very biased opinion, Dingley will need rubber sides...
Every Dingley kid goes to Secondary School outside of Dingley. To say that the kids have bugger all options is wrong.
The learned gentleman that I was responding to mentioned 8 clubs within a 15 km radius of them. I didn't break out the Google Maps but all of the clubs that I mentioned, except...
Break out the tissues!
Dingley were on our knees when we joined Southern. We had just gone through a winless season in the Casey Cardinia and times were tough.
Don't forget that we are surrounded by clubs that include Noble Park, Keysborough, Springvale, Heatherton, Mordialloc, Edi As...
After slicing through the sarcasm I offer this, the league needs clubs like East Malvern to challenge.
For too long there have only been 2 or 3 clubs that were legitimate contenders each season. The risk is that the league loses credibility and less top quality players are attracted.
2017 is...
You are correct, it is correct! Dingley well within their means in terms of player spend.
I hope EM are competitive, because if not, the money dries up and the players disappear! Look at our friends from EB!
So after all of the "who ha" when they left Vermont for Rye, they pull the pin on Rye after finishing mid table.
Look out EM, not the kind of recruits that you would target unless your only concern is the short term.
You could try Dingley as well. 1994 was our Premiership year in the SWGFL and we were powerful through the 80's and well into the 90's.
The club has retained quite a bit of memorabilia from that period.
I agree! The squeeze on at other, stronger comps can only help the SFNL. Overrated players can now be replaced by better types for the same $$$ which will only drive the standard of the SFNL up.
The Full Forward, Rummans i think, is a jet.
Watched him a couple of years ago kick 13 and missed a couple! Will keep all Full Backs busy in this comp.

St.Pauls v East Brighton 1st Round in 2018 in Div. 2 = Block Buster!
Amen, but that would have taken some bravery from Head Office. Now we have EB with potentially a 1st team that will be flogged by 30+ goals every week with no reserves of their own and a merged Colts.
They will be relegated this season anyway, why did the league not save them the embarrassment...
Your last sentence says it perfectly and is the exact reason why they should be replaced with a club that has it all together and will relish the opportunity of playing Div. 1.
EB, unfortunately, are in no state to be playing on the top division, and this is not a simplistic viewpoint! They...
The league has been deafeningly silent on this. Now the new coach of EB is quoted on the SFL Website about how they will go about things differently due to the number of players that have left.
I feel for this guy but without 95% of the 1's from last year and a very, very weak 2's list and no...
I hope that you are right but realistically East Brighton are on their knees and the league should intervene. The SFL should not allow for a club that was already shallow on numbers and, by all reports, not fielding a Colts team remain in the top division if they lose another 31 players and not...
If they are in such a mess, they will cop the same sort of treatment in Div. 2 next year. Perhaps drop them to Div. 3 and promote a strong, financial club from Div. 3 up to Div. 2 and a Keysborough or Port Colts up to Div. 1. It is never too late to protect the image of the competition.
East...
