    Memberships 2024 Memberships Released

Just a general question for anyone really, I havent been a member for several years now but looking to get on board for 2024. Is there any point for me to bother with any waitlisted membership types? or would i be better off getting just a standard membership with guaranteed finals access?

Injury Blue Healers Medical Room - 2023

Knee sprain is a non-specific term, but it's not new. Just think of it as an umbrella term for overstretching one or more ligaments of the knee joint

    Bluemour 'Silly Season' Edition XXXIV

Wasn't it mentioned on this board that Voss is not keen on players on long term contracts? 6 years seems like a hell of a long time in footy. From Bowes and his management team it basically means you're taking 50% pay cut, doesn't really make sense to do that for them.

All the coaches are on reduced % of their salary (not that their salary is anything to sneeze at), but if anything they probably should be paid their normal contracted salary first before the adding more to the coaching staff

Hansen's done a fantastic job this year with the group. Also head coaching opportunities are rare, even rarer to have a second chance like Vossy, so if he was to leave he'd want to go to a good situation where he can do well and win. He'll be with us for another couple of years at least.

Autopsy 2022 Rd 11 Weitering goes down creating too tall an order for Blues

Are there some recurring soft tissue injuries that may have been prevented by high performance/physio/team doctor's intervention? Maybe. I'm unsure whether McKay's meniscus tear would have been known for 3-4 weeks when he played through them, are there evidence to suggest that the club knew he...

Autopsy 2022 Rd 11 Weitering goes down creating too tall an order for Blues

"Not blaming it on Russell", what would you expect his role in preventing some of the injuries this season? There is only so much the high performance team can do, it's an impact sport so some injuries are bound to happen. Luck and circumstance comes into play as well.

    Charlie Curnow - The Return!

Right, and injuries come from instability and movements. After multiple injuries nothing wrong with being careful. Being reckless is why injuries keep occurring. Not that hard to comprehend

    Charlie Curnow - The Return!

Yes it's called being sensible and ticking off requirements for the body to adjust to game conditions, there is a reason every football club has a sports performance department.

    Bluemour Melting Pot XXVI

If Oliver is not going to happen this year, then wouldn't we have the cap space and flexibility for Saad to walk to PSD and pick him up from there? At least that's what I've gathered from the ITK's information

    1. You think McGovern does nothing and you want to get rid of him now when he's at his lowest value at the moment, selling him for a jar of dirt is not a very smart management move. From all your posts it just seems like you have a personal dislike for the player and just trying to push an...

    List Mgmt. Pick 9

That's interesting, just wondering where were the studies conducted? Of course when you compare an individual to the healthy population that rate is alarmingly high. You can say the same thing of hamstring injuries, and in some cases that can be even worse, to the point where some athletes have...

    List Mgmt. Pick 9

Think some of this concern over the ACL injury on Kemp is overblown. Look, it sucks to have done it before you are even drafted in the AFL but nowadays we are more equipped on rehabilitation and modern technology that it's not a career ending injury anymore. Sometimes you may have a few...

Bluemour Melting Pot XIX - Give Me Ed Baby - Return of the Prodigal Son

From a talent management stand point, if you view a current player on an AFL list as someone more valuable to you than a kid you can select at pick 1, then sure go for it. But with our pick this year, at number 8, are there any kids that our list management team think will serve us better than...

Bluemour Melting Pot XIX - Give Me Ed Baby - Return of the Prodigal Son

A lot of people on here saying they don't want to give up a first for this player or that player, so it's important to look at this perspectively. First round picks don't mean much. At the end of the day, draft picks are just picks, their true value is only decided once you assign a kid to the...

Don't think there are enough first round picks to get both Wines AND Papley done. In our dreams BOTH will mean hype to definitely make Top 8. In a realistic world only one will put on the navy blue next year
